It's been a few days since Evan has been continuously visiting that same street where he doubted seeing her. But to his dismay, he failed to prove if his doubt was correct. He has been questioning himself if he was right and if he did saw her on that very evening.
Can I ever get to see her again? Is she even alive for real?
Being an idol and having lots to cover up his identity and coping up with all his tasks and practices going on, he was having a very hard time managing his time off for his extra works - which included his search for her. And like any other day, he has been off on his mission of finding her. He found himself again in that same street where he had first seen. Or that was what he had thought?
He was so desperate to find her. So, as soon as he finished his practice he had excused himself from all his friends - including Shane. But Shane knew for what or where his friend was heading. Sometimes he even tagged along. But not today. He went alone. He was determined to find at least any hint that would lead him towards her. Today he decided to ask people out there if they had information on about her.
He came across some stalls where people were selling off their products. He thought it would be a good idea if he could get some information from them. He went close to one of the stalls. " Excuse me, ma'am. Do you happen to know any girl with the name Evelyn?" He asked making the person glance upon him.
"huh? Evelyn?" The person replied on hearing the question while Evan nods his head with the hope of getting some answers. "Whom do I say? I know a lot of girls with this name." He answered making him sign in defeat? Exhaustion? He felt many more but he was disappointed in his attempt leading to failure.
He then gave a small smile and thanked him, making his way to another one. And the same happened with others too. He was having a mental break down in this situation. He cursed himself for never carrying a photo of her. He decides to call it a day. He reminds himself to come prepared tomorrow so that he could move forward on his task. He turned back on his feet and walked back to his apartment.
But he never knew, if he had stayed a bit longer he could have seen her. He had just crossed her while she turned around to buy her stuff. She was there with her mother busying shopping. But it was not time for them to meet. They were meant to meet someday soon but in a different way.{who said that? well, it's me- author nim ;)}
He walked all way back to his apartment hanging his head low not so satisfied with the day.
**************
"Did you find her?" Evan just heaves a heavy sign upon the asked question. "No?" Shane questioned again seeing how Evan was sulking. Shane joined Evan on his couch. " I need a photo of her." Evan finally said something and that to confused Shane. "What?" Shane asked confused while Evan nods his head. " Yea. I need Evelyn's photo." Shane was even more confused upon his answer. "Why?" " Because I need it. Just tell me how can I get one? " Evan replied groaning and pulling his hair frustrated.
" But why? And how will I get you one? Am I a google? To find anything you ask for just in seconds?" Shane retorts annoyed at his act. Just when Shane completes his brags Enan jolts up on his feet and smiles sheepishly. Shane is confused about seeing him acting crazy. At this point, he doubts if his friend was okay. Evan again sits down on the couch and grabs his handphone. "Evan? What are you doing?" "Thanks for the idea buddy!! I am taking the help of social media. maybe she did have an account before? I can search up for it." Evan replied excited over his new idea. He was sure to work hard to find her.
A FEW HOURS LATER~~~
" Did you find it?" Shane asked yawning as he sure slept for those hours Evan used for his search. There was complete silence filling the room making the boy sleepy again.
"SHANE!!!" " WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED?" Shane woke up yelling not sure what it was for but he was not in the condition to comprehend. "LOOK HERE!" Evan yelled making Shane lean closer to the screen of the phone still rubbing his sleepy eyes. "What? What did you see?" He asked finally fully aware of his surrounding. "See," Evan said facing the screen toward Shane. He glances down to the screen to make his eye narrow in confusion. " Is she?" "I don't know. " Evan says concentrating on the screen.
They were looking at an account with a name slightly different but having the photo of the girl they were searching for " Evelyn."
"But why does it say, Evelyn Jones? Isn't she Evelyn Reids?" Shane asked completely dumb folded over this new information. "Yea. I don't know either." Evan replies shaking his head no. Shane further clicks on that profile. Soon the page was loaded with lots of information on about the girl. They both had their eye wide open not believing what they just saw on the screen. There were lots of pics of her with her family and some were her selfies. They had no idea if the girl they were seeing now was the girl they were searching for a while now.
"Is she the Evelyn we have been looking for?" Shane questions making sure that they are not mistaken. "This girl... she has the same face as her. I remember her. As clear as crystal. I can't mistake her face." He said confidently while Shane just gave an assuring nod. "What should we do? How to make sure she is her?" Shane asked not sure what to do further. "I know what to do," Evan said playing with his phone.
Shane glanced at the screen then his eye widened. " Did you just messaged HER?!!"
