Chapter 30

"Sir? They're coming."

"How many?"

"A lot." Tips Says,

The army scatters to building corners and behind windows, ready for a big firefight. At least 30 guardians come out with their own army and the firefight ensues.

Ashe runs past people and dives into a dusty full length mirror. It ripples as she enters the Mirror realm.

It's clean, aside from the rubble of building parts and the sounds of gunshots are echoed. She runs out of the building into the street, she climbs a nearby building and looks out the window a few stories up.

She dives through the window's reflection and grabs hold of a flying guardian. The guardian grunts and struggles to maintain herself in the air.

Ashe kicks off her and throws her hand s at her, a window behind Ashe shatters and it's shards fly into the guardian.

Ashe falls back through a window's reflection and watches the guardian drop through the windows.

Ashe hurries through the reflection and throws her hand outward. A shield of glass rushes over and covers her and several soldiers from a mortar. It explodes and sends them flying back. Ashe rolls harshly across the ground.

Thomas fires his rifle repeatedly and knocks several soldiers to the ground. Ashe groans as she tries to get up.

She hurries over to another soldier and helps them up. Ashe groans again, pain is exploding through her stomach. She leans against a wall.

Tips runs over and to her side. "How you doing?"

"Eh...better days."

"Let me look."

He shoulders his rifle and turns to her. "Tips I'm fine! I'll manage, it's just a few broken ribs." She snorts,

He scoffs and lifts her shirt to see her stomach.

"Agh!" She whines.

"I can manage Tips."

"We need to get her out of here." A soldier says,

"No way am I leaving! I'm the face remember!? I got to stay."

"You're no use dead." The soldier says,

"I'm not gonna die Raymond, calm your face."

A bit of the corner they lean against explodes in their faces. Raymond leans out and fires.

Tips looks from the bruises to Ashe's face. "I got this Tips, we both know I can do this."

He smirks, "I know."

"Raymond, cover us."

Raymond leans out and fires, Tips and Ashe rush out from behind the corner and into the building they leaned against.

Raymond tried to rush in but is pelted with bullets and collapses. "Ray!" Ashe shouts,

She grunts and looks at Tips. She drops her pistol and looks down at the hilt of the knife, almost against her stomach. She shakily looks back up as he pulls out and shoved it in again.

She gasps and whines, falling against him. She pulls on his sleeve, he stands and kicks her back to the ground.

"I was going to do it outside, but why blow my cover?"

He pulls a grenade and pulls the pin. Ashe's eyes widen. Tips kicks her again in the face and drops the grenade and holds Ashe against the ground.

She whines and he stabs her again, she shrieks softly and shakes hard, grabbing his shoulda, trying to push him off.

Then he turns and bolts out to the door. The building floor explodes and throws Tips out and rolling across the ground.

He groans and struggles to his feet, several yell out to him, he rushes over and dives behind a barricade.

"Where's Ashe!?" Thomas yells,

"She got trapped! I couldn't get her out!" He yells back.

He stares in horror at Tips, she had after all, been one of the best and strongest of them. Thomas, in his anger aims and fires at a guardian, the guardian dives and misses. With the speed he has from the guardian suit, the guardian jumps and is ready to dodge again and probably fire. Thomas, who has his gun trained on his target uses his ability and fires the Guardian jumps to the side and aims.

The bullet that Thomas had shot slammed against the wall, but because of Thomas's ability it pulls itself out of the wall and flies into and through the Guardian's helmet. The guardian drops fast to the ground.

Tips runs over to Thomas and drops down for cover. "There's a lot of people out here!" He yells and pulls his tiny assassin knife.

"We got this Tips, don't get-"

Suddenly Tip's head slams against the metal wall barricade. Thomas watches Ashe lift him up and slam her fist into his face. Tips yells out and flops onto his back.

Ashe holds her hand up, as Tips gets to his feet, glass shards, one by one stab into Tips. He yells and stumbles backward.

"Choke on it!" Ashe yells,

She brings her hand in close and throws it out. Seemingly every window of the building behind Ashe bursts and the shards fly at Tips all at once and shred through him, once they have they circle back and shred through his torso again until his upper and lower half's both flop to the ground, Ashe let's go of her waist and throws her other hand out and the shards fly at the soldiers, tearing through many of them.

The guardians watch in awe and horror at their obvious defeat. They yell out to retreat, it only takes 3 seconds at most for the remainder of the army to disappear. Ashe brings her hands up and throws them down.

Glass shards follow the army, they fly high in the air and rain down, killing many of the fleeing soldiers. Ashe groans and falls backward, but Thomas leans out and catches her.

"What the F was that?" Neo asks as they walk up,

They look around and see shards of glass and bodies all over the place. "That was like the fastest Fire fight ever." Atlas says,

Then they look over and see Ashe, a bloody mess, lying in Thomas's arms.
