Confusion Pt.2

It felt refreshing, how long had it been since he had a good night's sleep. He liked the feeling of the blanket, giving him a false sense of comfort and security. Breathing in, he smelt a sweet fragrance throughout the air. He pulled the soft and fluffy blanket over his face and turned over to the side, wanting to lie down in bed all day. He felt something soft clinging his body and instinctively pulled it closer wanting to embrace the warmth that it provided.

"Mmmm.." he heard a soft mumble waking him up from his dream

"Sigh…" Rubbing his eyes, the haziness disappeared and his vision slowly returned to normal.

He opened his eyes to see a small yet delicate face, she looked like a doll. Her golden hair laying gently on her face, he was shocked and jumped out of the bed.

"Ah, you startled me. How are you feeling?"

It was the voice of a lovely girl. It was soft and small but he could feel power inside.

Instinctively he backed himself into a corner looking for any possible weapons and an escape route in case he needed it. He didn't know where he was and his moment of carelessness could have cost him his life. Wariness slowly filled his heart as he examined his surroundings.

The room was spacious, and full of modern decor. Looking up, he saw a large shining sun banner on the wall and under it was a large hammer. The windows between the curtains were large and looking out from them was a courtyard filled with flowers. After examining his current situation and seeing he's not in immediate danger he looks back over to the girl.

"Where am I? Who are you?"

"I'm Mu Xi, Hehe, you're in my house!" Mu Xi beamed a wide smile before rushing up towards me and pulling me in towards a hug. "I was so worried about you, I thought you had died when I hit you"

Ah.. that's right she was the one who had practically knocked me out. To be beaten by a small child, he felt shame and embarrassment. He tried to get out of Mu Xi's embrace but his frail body wasn't able to push her away.

Just before he could ask anymore questions he heard a shout from downstairs

"Mu Xi, dinner's ready! Come down to eat!"

Mu Xi shouted back "Okayyyyy" before dragging me down

Sitting down at the table it was neat and the food looked scrumptious. In front of me was a plate of pork chops and chicken in a creamy sauce laid on a bed of pearly white rice, tiny green peas and onions. On the side was a bowl of crab and asparagus soup along with some bread. The smell of food made his stomach grumble. Looking at the food he waited for the others to start eating before taking a small bite.

It was delicious, the pork chops were meaty, slight sweet but still savory and the chicken was tender and easily tore apart. It wasn't perfect, no in fact it was just a home cooked meal but he questioned when the last time he had a home cooked meal. His thoughts were interrupted as a deep voice called out to him.

"What's your name?"

Name? A word that stuck a cord in him somewhere. A slight pain stuck him in the head as he leaned over the table, he remembered.

"Xie Xie...that's my name"
