"Okay, Tikki. What do you think?" Marinette had finished her homework and was now sketching a design for a shirt.
"I like it! You've been spending a lot of time on these sketches and designs, Marinette," Tikki said.
"Why wouldn't I? College is only a year away. I want to get myself ready for becoming a fashion designer," Marinette didn't look away from her sketch.
Tikki sighed and flew over to the window. She sat down and looked at the street below.
"Tikki? Is something wrong?" Marinette turned around and looked at an upset Tikki.
"It's just that, you're going to college soon. A few years ago, when you became Ladybug, there was hope Hawk Moth would be stopped soon. He was, but the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses are still out there."
"Don't worry, Tikki. I'll still be able to stop whoever found the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses. Even if I'm in college."
"Marinette, college will require a lot more focus and dedication. What if superhero work and college work get in the way of each other?"
"I won't let that happen, Tikki." Marinette sighed and looked back at her sketch. She put it down on her desk and walked towards the stairs.
"I'm going to to help my parents in the bakery," she said.
Tikki turned around, "I'll be here if you need me."
Marinette went down a few steps then said, "Don't worry, Tikki. I'll always be Ladybug."
Marinette walked down to the bakery where her parents were pulling some baked goods from the oven.
"Finally got your homework done?" Tom asked.
"Sure did. Now, I'm ready to help!" Marinette said. She put on an apron and took some pastries off of cooling pans.
Shorty after, the front door opened and a customer walked in. Marinette recognized Mira immediately.
"Hi, Mira," she said.
"Hi, Marinette. I came here hoping to try some macarons. I hear they're really good." She looked around the store at some of the baked goods.
"Marinette, is this a friend from school?" Sabine asked her.
"This is Mira Belmont. She's new at school," Marinette turned to Mira, "These are my parents, Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng."
"Nice to meet you," Mira smiled.
"Here are our available macarons." Marinette pointed to a rack full of macarons and listed the flavors.
"We have raspberry, lemon, chocolate, vanilla, cherry, red velvet, blueberry, mint, orange creme, and strawberry."
Mira looked at the rack with wide eyes, "I'll have a red velvet."
Mira opened her purse and looked closely inside. She grabbed a couple of dollars, paused, and added, "I'd like a chocolate, too."
Marinette put the macarons in the bag and exchanged it for a few dollars.
"Thanks for coming." She waved as Mira left. Marinette noticed something peculiar about her purse. When Mira opened it to put the macaron bag inside, a blue blur appeared and disappeared. Marinette shook her head. Her mind was playing tricks on her.
