The center of the storm

I can't say how long I am lying here now. My feeling for time disappeared the moment I fell asleep in this cave, hole or what fucking ever. Waking up with a shaky gasp, I feel the small, dirty stones below my hands and realize where I am.

Not going to lie. I wish, this would just be a bad nightmare.

My sight wanders over the water in front of me and I zone more and more out, the longer I glance at it.

Even though, this water is murderous, it is still quite pretty and has something calming.

The small water drops, shining like pearls which jump up the high rocks as they crash at them in an organized way.

The sound of the waves which find their movements across this water and create a rustle with every directionally change or splash.

Maybe even the darkness around exactly this place has something beautiful.

Many people are afraid of the dark and the unknown, but I was never and will probably never be. I mean, come on. I fell into the darkness and still don't feel any kind of fear from it.

The darkness is with what you usually fall asleep. The darkness protects you when you play hide and seek. The darkness goes with you when you take your last breath.

It is always there.

It lives on with every single person in this universe.

Shit. I always forget we are the only ones here.

''Urgh.'' I sit up and accidentally kick some small stones away with my feet. Following them with my eyes, until they reach the water and land in it with a quiet blob.

How weird it feels to still be stuck in here, but also not having any fear inside.

When I look around and blink with my eyes several times I start to see more than just the heavy mass out of darkness.

The stones around me seem to go in triangle forms uplifting towards the holes. Like they point at a spot up there.

As I take a deep breath, I feel something similar to a giant load going down my spine with a small shiver and a cold draft.

My entire body suddenly feels like it is on fire. Not in a harmful way. More in a comforting, -maybe even powerful way- is it feeling.

It starts inside of me. The place where my heart is supposed to be, is now replaced with a blue, airy beam completely through my body.

My breathing stops and I don't even have the time to realize what is going on because out of all sudden, my feet loose touch with the ground and are now floating around seven inches above it.

The moment I look down, I see how I am nothing more but a blurry-blueish-glowing texture in the black around me. My feet aren't even seeable anymore and when I try to catch a breath, a puffy spectre leaves my mouth.

The fear comes up my chest and I begin to look around hysterically. Not a single scream I am trying to let out actually leaves my body.

Pain is painted onto my face as my hands clench into fists. Ready, to fight against whatever in hell possessed me.

''ARGH-!!'' I let out painfully and my body feels like a million electric shocks a second are racing through it.

What is happening to me!?

The edges from my sight are starting to also become a blueish shine and out of nothing but fear, I squeeze them tightly together while letting out crying yells into the nothing.

''Jaden!'' I hear a worried voice screaming in the distance, but my instincts tell me to not listen to it even though I know who it is.

Slowly but surely, my body carries on floating through the dark cave and I can't control anything any longer.

The mysterious shining still beaming through my heart, my breathing going in gasps, my hands clenched into fists, my face a painful fracture and all in all; my entire body a shaking and whimping mess.

''STOP IT!'' I scream against the pain and am somehow able to press my hands against my head for trying to stop the pounding pressure out of it.

My head feels like it is about to explode and a million things are showing up at the same time. The blood in my veins is heating up, but I can't tell if it is now blue too.

Struggling to open my eyes, I suddenly feel ground under my feet as I break down with a loud sob.

The aching pain in my throat and rest of my body carries on growing until it takes over my lungs. Liquid fills them as I try to catch after the freeing air. Failing terribly.

My heart is pumping in my chest while blueish light waves are pulsating out of me and fill the entire cave.

Who is doing this to me?!

Questions are running through my mind while now also the ground starts to tremble.

This can't be real, can it?

''Jaden!'' Finn screams again, but I don't reply out of fear I would hurt him if he comes too close to me.

''Get...away.'' I force myself to gasp out shakily while tears begin to form in the corner of my eyes.

''No! I won't leave you here!'' He shouts through the loud sound of the ground and the actually calming air around us turns into an uncomfortable whistling and the smaller stones are rising up from the ground. Floating in circles around me.

''Go..!'' I yell again in pain. This time my echo is so heavy, that the rocks are giving my word as loud as a roar back.

Steps are audible and I feel hands on my shoulders. I look up.

''You can do it, son'', A mysterious voice comes from the person which suddenly holds my shoulders with a small amount of pressure. ''You are strong enough.''

Bundling up all the rest power I have left in my muscles, I stem myself with a groan up while my feet are feeling like metal is on them which makes standing up impossible.

''Use what you got!'' The voice carries on. This time, with a lot of anger in their voice.

The air is trembling around us. It is nearly, like I am in the center of a storm.

Pictures appear in my senses and an awful smirk is forming compulsorily on my face. The blue turns into red.

The feeling of power floods me as the, now hot, air gives me the strength to stand up straight.

I have never felt better in my entire life.

''Let's go, son.''
