The three Brothers
(I know it sounds like the tale of the three brothers from Harry Potter but I've put my own twist on it, let me know what you think!! Please don't be a ghost readerđ»)
Once long ago a trio of brothers where walking in the woods at twilight, as they walked they came upon a river much too deep to swim across. However the trio were well versed in the art of magic and together with a wave of their wands weaved a bridge to cross the river; When they reached the middle of the bridge their path was blocked by a tall ominous shadow figure. This figure was death and he felt cheated; Death collected the souls of those who drowned in the river, but Death was cunning. He pretended to congratulate the trio on their magic and he would give them a gift for cheating him. The first brother a competitive man asked for a wand unbeatable in any battle and so Death took a branch from a nearby elder tree and so the elder wand was crafted. The second brother decided to humiliate Death even further, he asked for a way to recall the souls of those who passed; So Death plucked a stone from the river and thus the resurrection stone was born. The youngest brother was the wisest of the three and he did not trust Death; So he asked for something to hide him from everything even Death, begrudgingly Death handed over his very own cloak of invisibility. The trio of brothers continued on their way and eventually split ways. The first brother sought out a wizard he once battled and lost to, this time with his new wand the brother beat and killed the wizard. He then went to a near by inn and bought a drink. Drunk on the power of the wand and the alcohol he boasted about his invincibility and wand gifted to him by Death. That night as the brother slept another wizard broke in stole the wand and slit the brothers throat for good measure, and so Death collected the first brother.
In an abandoned asylum were three figures sitting around a table two of the figures had their backs to the window but one of the figures was facing the window. If you look closely you can see the insanity in the figures eyes, the smell of decay only adding to the insanity.
