CH 3 New World New Surprises

After they recovered from the surprise, the man took Rudra to an equipment warehouse where there was a variety of cool-looking training gear stored for use. Rudra got a special bodysuit and a pair of jeans. In hindsight, he also took a stylish long coat.

According to the man, most Inhumans wore bodysuits as they were easy to move in and effective in combat situations. The Jeans and long coat was just Rudra's attempt to blend in. The clothes and the bodysuit were all made from special fiber, despite their deceptively casual look.

"Oh right, here take this." The man tossed a wristband like an object to him. The moment Rudra caught it, a holographic projection and sound emerged out from the wrist band.

"I am Rudra Jokaen."

Rays of light emerged from the wristband and flashed all over him for about five seconds. It went back to normal after that and new messages emerged from the holographic projection.

"Don't pay much attention to the record thing" Dr. Vishwakarma told Rudra "I will take care of that part. This is a holo-communication device, one of our latest models. Current holo-device available in the market are all in tablet form. This device is the latest technology invented by my daughter. Its tens of times better, faster, and more efficient than anything commercially available." He said with pride in his voice.

"That is impressive," Rudra said in a sincere voice, genuinely impressed by the advancement of technology in this world.

"Isn't it ?!" Vishwakarma suddenly said in glee, looking completely different from the stoic and indifferent man he was before "My Shiva is so talented, she already has such a powerful innate skill yet she never hesitates to pursue her interests and talents."

"If someone else was in her place they would have simply been content to live off the fame and power their innate skill brought them. But my Shiva worked hard and found a way to use her nanotechnology innate skill to pursue her interests and invented this version of the holo-communication device and many other similarly great inventions. Alas her innate had the side-effect of even devouring her body…"

Saying as much he suddenly came to his senses and turned back to his stoic mode "ahem .. anyway, that holo-device can be used to bring you up to the speed of the general common sense and working of the world. Use it at your leisure, there are very few things that you cant learn using that holo-device."

They left the equipment warehouse and joined Shiva who was standing outside the experimental facility, leaning on a car-like vehicle. Rudra though car-like because though it looked like a stylish and futuristic car, there were no wheels.

"There you are" Shiva called out to him "Let's go, I will take you home. Dad, I guess you will join us later after work ?"

"Yes, kiddo" Vishwakarma replied to Shiva with a smile "It will probably be late night until I wrap up my work. Instruct Rudra on the basics and order whatever you need for him. I will most probably see you both tomorrow. Oh and don't forget the enrolment form for him. luckily he can still give the test since it's a month later."

"Ya, dad I will," Shiva said as she touched the door of the car and the doors slid open upwards "Get in Rudra, we will be home in about 20 minutes."

Rudra quickly slid into the partially reclining seat, thrilled with the comfortable seat and the virtual display panel that was present in the place of Steering wheel and gearshift. Shiva closed the door with a touch and went to the other side, getting into her seat. She touched the panel to bring up a map and selected one of the highlighted destinations.

The car started up with a slight hum and before Rudra could understand what was happening, the whole car hovered in the air and sped forward with incredible speed. Immediately reaching speeds of over 320 km/h within seconds, the car disappeared from Vishwakarma's sight soon enough.

He turned to the experimental facility with a sigh "I don't know why a combat doctor like me gained such a destructive innate skill though. Never mind, I guess its time to do what I do best. Tachyon Pulse - Implosion!!"

A tiny ball of light formed in his hand and sped to the inside of the facility. The next moment the whole facility collapsed into itself comically as if warping into a black hole. Within seconds, all that was left on the ground was a huge depression as if a giant hand had scooped up the ground.

"Tachyon Pulse – Quake!!" he pressed a palm to the ground and the huge depression shook and was swiftly filled up with loose soil broken up from its walls. Within a minute all that was left was a slightly depressed gound with the unorderly looking surface.

"Sigh, just a dozen or so more of this I guess" Vishwakarma sighed as he thought back to the several such facilities he had constructed for the Project GODS.

"Gravity Style – Flight!! Tachyon Pulse – Boost!!" He flew up into the air, determined to finish up the work by the night ends. He wouldn't leave behind any trace that could get his daughter in danger.

Rudra browsed various information online with the help of C.S.Alpha. it was highly efficient and showed him exactly what he asked and no other unnecessary stuff. He found out that this world was basically like parallel earth. Language, culture, and the famous countries of the world were the same.

Some version of history was diverted in some places leading to many small changes. Such as his current country, India, never getting divided and instead of assimilating many surrounding small countries into itself. It was even one of the world leaders in the latest technology and the number of Inhumans produced every year.

Most of the mortal entertainment world was similar to his previous one, except that most things now took place in the Virtual world. Sports, Casual games, international events, movies, music, etc all took place in the virtual world. This world had expanded its Virtual World to new heights, inventing Full Dive Virtual Systems with 99% immersion and reality emulation. There was very little to no difference between what was experienced in the real world and the virtual world. Virtual world players were now enormous celebrities.

By the time I finished reading up about usual day to day things, we pulled up at Shiva's home. Her house was a castle in the sky, or more accurately a mansion in the sky. I had read about this too. Since in this age a lot of lands was being saved for natural forest and animal reserves to create an accurate restoration of forest habitat, many artificial floating landmasses had been constructed. Most of the richest people in the world owned one or more of these floating landmasses.

The landmass Vishwakarma owned looked like a small island, good enough for a large manor and a huge garden. They also had a large warehouse-like building for their many vehicles. Shiva said she also had a small workshop in the same building. But as expected, her standards of small were vastly different from the rest of the world. This was a proper hi-tech workshop with many of the latest tools and even some customized unique tools for her inventions.

Shiva accommodated me in their guestroom, which was pretty nice and comparable to many 5-star hotel rooms in my previous world. Therefore I had no complaints whatsoever and thanked her for accompanying me. She ordered a home-delivery for our food and even ordered express delivery for some stuff I would need for daily use. She helped me pick out some casual clothes and for some reason instructed me to learn the common language and various basic study subjects.

"Why though?" I asked confused.

"Well, technically you are a kid, right? So like all kids you will have to attend school. But lucky for you it's not a normal school it's a very special school for Inhumans and its secluded from the public eye. My dad is on the board of directors hence you can be assured they have high requirements for security. Plus since most Inhumans are often homeschooled until they get a handle on their powers, so you won't be questioned on lack of some common knowledge as long as you have a decent handle on your ability and know about subjects of your class."

"Seriously? Oh man, this is a letdown." Rudra said while he lamented about being stuck with brats in his mind.
