Don't do what?

Our entire walk to my house was filled with nothing but silence. When we reached my front door, I told him to go already. But he sat at the bench instead.

"Hey it's already dark, you should keep going."

"Don't you have mercy? We walked for almost half an hour. Can I take a rest?" I rolled my eyes at him but sat next to him. "I know you wouldn't invite me inside, so let me sit here."

"How'd you know how to get to my house?"

"The moment I knew you were hiding something, I went through your records. I memorized what's written there, that way I can easily notice if you're lying." He said.

"Wow! It must have been a lot of work to stalk me." I said amused. I was not amused because I'm pleased, I'm amused because of all the efforts he's doing just to bust me.

"So I'm saying that you should just tell me. I already know that you're not who you're saying you are." He's still frustrated. I laughed at him.

"Curiousity kills." I told him.

"I would rather found out then die with a peace of mind than die from frustration." He pulled his hair out while groaning.

"I think I won't be telling you sooner." I stand up. "I would want to see that expression of yours more often." I chuckled. He also stood up. "Be careful, I sometimes bite. And I don't think I can contain myself if you're looking that hot." I joked then turned my back at him, heading to my house. He grabbed my arms then pulled me to a kiss. The impact was hard but his lips are soft. What!? No! I pushed him.

"W-what were you-" He cut me off.

"Don't do that." He's staring at me.

"Don't do what?" I asked annoyed.

"Don't make my heart flutter. Next time you do it, I won't let go." He left after saying that. What just happened? That jerk! I ran off to my bath chamber then brushed my lips, I wish I could wash away that kiss. I stopped when I felt like my lips are burning. How dare he kiss a princess without permission? He should be beheaded. I went to bed after some thinking and some regretting.

√Shaun

"Had you already send Sheen the message?" I nodded to my mother. "It's so dangerous for her to wander around." I'm also quite unsure of our decision to sent her away from the palace.

"Let's look at this positively. And it's better for her to experience the real life. She had always been locked up in the Isolit." I always feel sympathetic towards her. She was not allowed to get out of that small vicinity and even I don't know why.

"Can you consider giving her a royal guard that will always be right by her side?" She asked me. She's currently fixing my suit.

"You know I care for her as much as I care for you. As long as Father agrees, I'll get her one immediately." If only I can be the one to protect her, I'd do it without a second thought. But my real purpose is to serve the whole realm.

"It would be better if it's someone from her school." That's a better idea.

"You know anyone?" I asked her.

"The head of the royal guard's son?" My mother said.

"No. I got my eyes on him. In fact, I already asked him to be my royal guard but he's hard to persuade." I told my mother.

"I really don't think he'd give in, since we're pretty much the reason his mother died." We both fell into silence. "What about Aren's sister?"

"Mother, I don't really feel secured or safe if the one protecting her is a girl and her sister is a second-born. I didn't mean to discriminate but I want the best for my sister." I explained to her.

"Ok, I'll leave the decision up to you." She said.

"Let's wait for Father's opinion first." I told her. "I'm heading to the assemblage." I left my Mother on my room.

"What's on today's agenda?" I asked Mr. Cloy, the royal secretary.

"Two light faeries were found dead on the border this morning, Your Highness." Blood draining off my face.

"How many was it so far?"

"Thirteen, Your Highness." The numbers kept increasing. I need to stop this right now. "Their families are asking for the shamus to investigate this matter more closely."

I entered the chamber where the assembly will be held. I sat at the King's right.

"Your Majesty, some of our light faes living near the border said they see dark faes coming every morning lately. Some are freaking out and we don't know how long we can prevent the rumors from spreading out." General Jap, the head of the border guards reported.

"Have you tracked where the dark faes went after they crossed the border?" I asked him. "Or if any of our faes there saw where they went?"

"Not at the mean time, Your Highness." He answered.

"Anyone has ideas why they're going here?" I asked the whole assemblage. Silence. No one answered me. I massaged my temples.

"Any other reports?" My father asked.

"The spy we sent there over a month ago said that their Crown Prince might be missing." The head of external regulations, Mr. Aled answered.

"Why is it a might?" I asked him.

"Since their Crown Prince is yet to show his face in front of anyone, it's hard to get confirmations. Even if we send them inside their palace, the possibility of proving our claim is low." He answered me. We all nodded.

"I think there's a possibility that they think their Crown Prince is within our boundaries." Mr. Aled voiced out his opinions.

"Worst, they think we are hiding him." I said.

The royal secretary suddenly barged in. He bowed to the King. "Your Majesty." He waits for my Father's acknowledgement before he spoke.

"There was an intruder at Isolit almost two hours ago." He said.

"What? Why is it only being reported right now?" I almost shout for not being able to contain myself better. Isolit is Sheen's dwelling in this palace. Father gave me a sharp look.

"It turns out the intruder was a dark fae. He was immediately escorted to the dungeon. The questioning got complicated that's why it took long for them to report to us. The dark fae was refusing to talk even with threats." He continued.

I stood up. "Is he still in the dungeon?"

"He killed his self, Your Highness." What? Why would he? What was he hiding?

I contemplated whether to see his dead body or not. I may get clues from his body. "Going there is of no use now." Father told me. "Dismissed." Everyone in the assembly left the chamber.

"Father what do you think of my proposal to give the Princess a royal guard?" I think this is the perfect timing to ask him.

"Shaun, we are trying to keep all this thing low." He answered.

"We can't let her wander on her own, it's so dangerous out there." I argued.

"That way, no one will know."

"And why do you think the Isolit was intruded? If they're looking for their Crown Prince, it would have been the dungeon, or the main palace. But why do you think they went to Sheen's dwelling?" I asked him.

"How would the dark fae know his way inside our palace? Maybe he got there thinking that it was the main palace." He has a point, but my intuitions telling me I'm right.

"Please just let her have a royal guard, so me and Mother can feel at ease even just a little." I pleaded.

He sighed. "Ok." And then he head for the door.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." I bowed to his back.

I should start looking for Sheen's royal guard.
