Brawl \(^O^)/

I don't know if I should be happy that it's finally monday. I was stuck here inside my house for a whole day yesterday, they send a female servant here to kept watch of me. And now I would be able to get out, but I'm not sure if my issues at school is already forgotten and if I'm ready to face Blaze.

"Should I? Or should not?" I'm contemplating whether to wear the bracelet Dean gave me yesterday or not. He said it's for protection, he apologized for not realizing sooner that Siche might find out who I am by reading my mind. It's not like I have so much of a choice, they got the authority over me. I wore it to my wrist, I hate it. I don't like wearing accessories over my body, it irritates me.

Ten minutes later I'm walking the school hallway and it's so empty. Why is it empty? I'm frowning all the way to my first class. Not even one faerie is here, I scanned the chamber, not even one. Where could they be? Am I just early? I'm starting to panic.

"Student, what are you doing here?" I looked around to see who spoke.

"Uhm... Do you happened to know where the others are?" I asked the cleaner who's holding a broom.

"They're at the battle ground. You're still young, how could you be so forgetful?" I fight the urge to roll my eyes, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't know.

I head to the doors but stopped half-way. "Can you tell me the direction to that battle ground." I get ready for more scolding.

"It's the door before the garden. There is also a passage inside the garden but it's the longer route. Is there a possibility that you suffer memory loss?" She nags at me.

I ignored it and just gave her a thanks. "She doesn't even gave me the chance to explain first. She keeps claiming I suffer memory loss. I'm a new student here, ma'am! And a princess, a freakin' princess." I shouted through the empty hallway.

I opened the door leading to the grounds. Wow! This place is so full and loud. I didn't know we had a mini colosseum here in our school. I admired the architecture, the center is so spacious and the ground is a good loamy soil. I noticed there was a big tank of water at the corner and a huge torch on the opposite of it. The spectators can watch from the bleachers, it has three-tier of seat with seven rows every tier.

I walked towards the bleachers on the right. "Talie!" Someone called my name. I found Lumine seating with Zeno at the top tier. Their location seemed empty, maybe faeries are avoiding them since they are dark faes. I thought of approaching them but I realized it would create more issues.

I was going to take an empty seat at the middle but someone grabbed my arm and pulled me to a seat on the lower tier. Oh great! I'm now facing the faerie I wanted to face the most right now. I glared at Blaze but he does not even look at me. "What's your problem?" I hissed at him.

"Hey Talie why are you late?" Siche asked me.

"Oh Talie you want food?" Licia handing me snacks.

"When did you guys decided to call me that?" Why are they acting so close to me right now?

"What? The darks can call you by that but we cannot?" Sasha rolled her eyes at me. Is she giving me that attitude just because I told her not to call me by what she wants to call me?

"What's going on?" I asked Siche, he seems like the only sane faerie here.

"No one told you?" He replied back.

"No, I just want to talk to you because you're so nice." I answered sarcastically. Do they think I liked dealing with them so I just asks random questions? Sasha glared at me. What's her problem? It's not even her I'm talking to.

"Brawl." Blaze said coolly beside me. I looked at him, contemplating whether to talk to him or not.

"Who's brawling?" Brawling is allowed in school grounds?

"Us." He answered while he looked at me as if my question couldn't get more stupid.

"Wh-" I was cut off by the host below.

"Ok students, please quiet down. In case some of you don't know me, I'm your head of the council, Sir Colm. Just for the freshmen knowledge, we conduct this activity every first Monday of the month, but since classes just started few weeks ago, we're doing it today. Students from junior and senior gets to showcase their skills in front of everyone. Just so you know, this activity takes more percent on your grades than you think. So you better do your best, and enough of using luck with your competitor."

A series of murmurs, I can see their faces getting confused. What's confusing there? "I know, I know you guys are shocked. We used to do this activity with line-ups already, created by your council. But starting this day, that will change. If a top student of senior go against a middle-skilled junior, who do you think will win?"

"Senior!" The crowd shouted.

"Senior, right! So the council decided that you will be divided into ranks. Rank A are those student outstanding at class down to Rank F which will consist of those who've done poorly at class. There's still a possibility that a senior and a lower grader would duel but if those two are only on the same level." The students' reactions are mixed, some are happy while some are not, I think. "We'll start with Rank E and ends with Rank A. You might ask, why we'll not start with F, Rank F will not be participating. Being on Rank F means you are not ready for real battle, so we will be excluding them. Today, we will just be using the four elements, no weapons. Anyone proven violating the rules will be given disciplinary action. And let me remind you kids that this is just training yourselves for a real battle, meaning it's not real. Number one rule is no killing. Number two, know when to give up. Raise your flag if you know in yourself that the battle is already beyond your capability. You could come back next month with a better performance but if you push yourself today, you might not be able to come back. Number three, do not take this personally, take this as a lesson. Number four, no special skills. There is a possibility that a first-born and a second-born might paired up, it's obvious that the second-born would be at a disadvantage. And there are also students who are yet to reach the age of eighteen. That's why using your powers are not allowed, we encourage fair play and sportsmanship. That's all for the opening." He went to the bench beside and talked to the others, which I think are the councilors.

"This is so exciting!" Licia exclaimed.

"Exciting until you need to fight a senior." Sasha retorted.

"Hey you could win against any senior." Siche told her certainly.

"You think I'd win over Harris?" Her voice filled with loathe.

"Who's Harris?" I cut in.

"The top student of seniors." Oh! My jaw-dropped hearing Siche's words. Of course there is a top student in seniors. I want to watch him.

"Where-" I was about to ask where this Harris is, but Ms. Azura started talking.

"Ok students. I'm currently holding the paper which contains your ranks. You would want to be quiet because I'll only read this once." She goes on and on with her list, she's currently at Rank D but my name is yet to be called. "Rank E - Berlin Dan, Sofia Jean, Lint Zet, Fern Howl, Sabil Kilom, Sheen Natalia..." I stopped listening when I heard my name. I didn't look at the others because I'm beyond embarrassed right now knowing that all of them are in Rank A and I'm the only one in Rank E.
