Be One!

"Students ready! In three... Two... One... And go!" Our classmates began attacking us. My first contact with water is on my face, I looked on the direction it came from.

"Sasha?" Sasha was laughing and throws another batch. I dodged it. But then someone hit my back. I gasped and Blaze looked at me like asking me what happened. I just continued dodging the water. I leaned my back toward his back. Then water came to us in every direction. What the?

"Duck!" I did as Blaze told me. I closed my eyes because of the splashes. When I opened them I saw almost half of the eliminated aiming towards us.

"One slot left for eliminated!" What? They already ousted four pairs? I looked at the other pairs playing with us. Our attackers are thrice of them. Why are they only attacking us? I saw Sasha pointing towards us.

Blaze pulled me to the right. "Hey! Focus." When we dodged the water from the front, there's one from the back.

I saw one girl whispering to her right, and it did the same until it reached the end. What are they planning? Everyone looked at me. "I think they will all try to get me first."

"I don't think so." He said just before the water keep attacking him. I sticked my arms with the tag more closer to his back. I was forced to close my eyes. The water stings. "You still got yours?" Blaze muttered through the attacks.

"Yes. You?" He suddenly faced me. My breath hitched when he covered me with hug. He held me from my left and his hands on my right shoulders. Making sure that my tag was secured. But he kept the right distance for the tag not to accidentally wear off. The water still kept on coming. He raised his left hand just in front of my face and he mouthed me 'You ok?', I just nodded.

The bell suddenly rang. "And we're done!" Sir Zach announced. Blaze let go of me, revealing my tag which is two splash away from wearing off. I sighed. "Let's immediately proceed to the last game!"

"What?" The remaining players complained.

"Sorry kids but we're running out of time. The next game will be... Be One!" Sir Zach walked to the side tracks of the field. "Each pair, kindly send a representative who will play here in the track."

"Running? I'm so exhausted." I groaned.

"I'll do it." Blaze walked off.

Siche approached me. "Sir said it's being one but we're playing separately." I laughed realizing what he said.

"Why aren't you on the track?" I asked him.

"Because Blaze is there. I can't really win over him, so I decided to intercept your play so he couldn't win." He grinned.

"That's smart and evil." I rolled my eyes playfully.

"The five of you, follow me." We followed Sir Zach to a platform, facing the backs of our partners. "Ok. The five of you on the platform will be guiding your partners on the track."

"Guiding sir?" Siche asked.

"Yes. Guiding. Why? Because..." He run his hands down his back pocket and showed us a blindfold. Blaze looked at me. I gave him a nervous laugh. "Your partners will be blindfolded all throughout the game. The first to cross the finish line will be the winner but this will not be an easy run. You need to pass several obstacles by the guide of your partners. I'll start blindfolding you now so the students can arrange the obstacles." Sir Zach covered the eyes of our partners starting from the left, Blaze and I are second from the right. He's also giving earpiece to them and a girl also handed us one, I put it instantly in my ear

"Can you hear me?" I heard Blaze.

"Wow! Yes." I answered to him. "Can you see?"

"I can see the blindfold." I chuckled.

"Hey don't shift to the right." I told him because he's moving around. "Face a little to the left. Yep, just right."

"Siche stop it!" I told Siche while I laugh.

"Turn around." Lex is almost at the middle of the field, far from the tracks. Siche keep making him go astray.

"What's happening?" I hear Blaze from the other line.

"Nothing. Just Siche and his pranks." The other students started entering back the field. Some of them holding a tin can then poured into the ground. "Woah!" Siche and I both gasped.

"What was it?" Blaze asked.

"You can't give hints to your partner until the game starts." Sir Zach announced.

"Sorry." I told Blaze.

"All your earpiece working fine? Raise your hand if you have problems with it." No one raised their hand. The students continued to arrange the obstacles.

Siche and I are watching side by side. We tried to supress our reactions everytime a type of obstacle is revealed. But we couldn't prevent our selves from gasping when the students started to work on some huge one, the ground rumbled.

"Is that even allowed?" I exclaimed.

"Sir that's impossible!" Siche yelled. I suddenly felt nervous. What if I lead Blaze to danger?

"Hey if something bad happens to you, will you blame me?" I asked over the earpiece.

"What bad could possibly happen to me here? This is just a game." He answered.

"Hey!" Siche called me out.

"Why?"

"Is it right or left?" He asked pertaining to the earpiece. I pointed my right ear. "Blaze has fear of heights." He whispered to my left. What? That burdens me big time.

"Ok. Everything set?" Everyone nodded in response. "Those on the platform, just so you won't be shocked later, the eliminated will be intercepting you while you guide your partners."

"How?"

"They are allowed to blow you air or splash water on you." Sir answered.

"All of them?" This time I asked.

"Yes." He answered me. What? This is crazy.

"Then everyone will fail."

"Can it be reduced?"

"This sounds impossible!"

Everyone on the platform complained. "Ok we'll narrow it down to ten attackers. Two faeries is to one. Alright?"

"Can we fight back?" Siche asked. That's a good question.

"What you guys think?" He asked the eliminated.

They shouted 'no' in chorus.

"Well... I say you could block." We said thanks to him. "If everyone's ready, we'll be starting now. In three..."

"Am I facing the front?" Blaze asked.

"Yes, we got this."
