Royal guard for the Princess

"Royal guard for the Princess?" I exclaimed.

"What? You were still there?" Harris looked at Dean like asking for what to do. Dean just shrugged and he started walking. "Hey that's a secret, don't shout it out."

"I get it, I get it." I told him, a smile still on my face. "Hey!" I looked at Harris.

"What? Are you going to blackmail me with that?"

I stared at him for a moment, he's not so bad of a choice. I always wondered how it feel having a royal guard. Well he was not bad protecting his girlfriend earlier. Wait so, I have to deal with his girlfriend more? Can I ask Dean to choose another one. Blaze is a good choice. What? Blaze? He can't even eat the sandwich I gave, protecting who?

"Hey!" Harris called my attention.

"See me on your first duty as Princess' royal guard."

"Why do I need to?" I just chuckled and left to my class. Because I'm your duty, man. I laughed to myself.

Everyone in the room looked at me when I opened the door. I looked at the mentor, and gave a slight bow and a 'sorry'. He continued his discussion and I walked inside. I was going to sit somewhere in the middle but someone caught my eye at the back. I sat beside Blaze. "I thought you'll be skipping classes?" I asked him.

"Where have you been?" He asked me back.

"Nowhere. Just there, there, there and here."

"And one of those theres is with Harris?" What's the deal with him? And how did he know I was with Harris?

"Two." He rolled his eyes at me. I just decided to listen to the mentor.

I felt a flick on my forehead. I shot my eyes open. Open? Why were they close. "What?" I asked Blaze.

"You were dozing off." He said while one of his elbow rest on his desk and his head resting on his hands.

"How do you manage to sit at the back all the time? It's sleepy here." I said and lay my head on the desk. He pulled my head up. "What?" I asked in a low voice.

"He doesn't really like sleepy heads." He said pertaining to the mentor. "If you want to sleep, then sleep. But don't expect me to help you later." And I just thought he'd be a good choice as a royal guard.

"Humans have a great influence to our realm more than you know. Faeries used to live on trees, but where are we living now? In buildings, houses and others. We all learned it from humans.-" Why did he stopped talking?

I shot my eyes open again when someone pushed my arms supporting my head. "What again?" I glared at Blaze.

"Why are you so sleepy?" He asked me with soft voice. My mind was suddenly bombarded with thoughts. Why is he like this right now?

"Well... I wouldn't have been exhausted if we didn't manage to reach the fifth game earlier." I told him.

"But you were not sleepy when you were with Harris."

"What are you talking about?" He just averted his gaze. What's his problem? "You brought food?"

"I brought the grapes you did not finished." My face lits up.

"Can we eat it now?" I asked.

"Right now? We're at class." I groaned. "That's why we told you, you should've skipped it."

"How many minutes until class ends?"

"You mean hours?" I pouted at him. I'm really hungry and sleepy. Siche, Licia and Sasha must be having a good time right now.

Blaze drew out something from his bag and handed it to me. I put it at the table and was going to eat it already but Blaze pulled it away. "What?" I almost cried so he chuckled. He put the container on my lap.

I ate the grapes while watching our mentor discuss on front but I'm not listening. "You going home straight after class?" I asked Blaze.

"Why? You going to ask me for a date?" I choked on the grapes. I held my coughs because the mentor might notice it. He handed me a bottle of water. "Why get so freaked out? I was just teasing."

"I just- I was gonna ask if- the- is that..."

"What?" His brows furrowed.

"It's just that- there is- oh shit." I rolled my eyes. His question really caught me off guard. I was just curious.

"Crazy." He chuckled.

"You know I hate you." I hissed at him and for a second I thought I saw pain in his eyes, but I think I had just imagined it.

"I know. You, what you doing after class?"

"Are you going to ask me for a date?" I mirrored his question. I took another grape to my mouth.

"Yes." For the second time, I choked. This time I couldn't keep it low. Everybody in the class looked at me. I apologized to them by bowing my head slightly. They returned to their businesses. Blaze is still cracking up beside me.

"Jerk!" I shouted in whisper.

Our conversation ended there. I did not bother on initiating topics, he'll just pick on me.

The bell finally rings. I walked out of the room without Blaze. How could he joke about those kind of things? Doesn't he know that those makes my heart go crazy? How can he lie while looking so sincere? And why do I want the lie to be truth?

Someone grabbed me by my hand. "What?" How did he managed to catch up?

"Where are you going?"

"Home?" Where does he think I'm going?

"Home?" Is he deaf?

"Home." I repeated.

"I mean why?" He added.

"Because that's normal?" Doesn't he go home after class? Why does he asks that kind of question?

"I told you we're going on a date."

"What!?" I exclaimed. Everybody in the hall looked on our way. He pushed me to a door which leads to a small chamber. "Why are we here?"

"You keep shouting. I have no choice."

"So you decided to put both of us in... here?" I looked around, it's partly dim. "I'm going now." I reached for the door behind him.

"You're going with me or I'm going with you?"

"Other choices?"

"None."

"What's your problem?" My voice is getting higher every time.

"You didn't disagree earlier."

"I never agreed."

"Why are you acting like a bitch?" His voice also high.

"I'm not! You're the one acting like a scum."

"Now you're raising your voice."

"You always do it when you talk to me!"

"When did I?" Ha! He doesn't even realize.

"You just did less than a minute ago." His voice is always high when he talks to me, i thought that's his normal voice but it was not. "What's your problem? And why would you want to have a date with me?" I poked his shoulders with one of my fingers.

"I told you." He grabbed my fingers and pulled me closer to him. "You make my heart flutter." My heart was beating ever so fast I didn't know what to do. Blaze leaned his face unto mine and before I knew it, I had pushed him off. I ran off outside and to my house. I did not bother to look back and just went straight to my house. What just happened? What about Sasha? This is so wrong.
