The Mirror

"Don't worry, I'll get you out of here today. I promise."

The man from yesterday and his two whipper entered with two more faerie that I never seen before, one is a man and the other is a woman. They walked straight to us, the woman entered my cell and touched me. I jerked away from her but she pulled me more aggressively.

"Just enough that they would live until the Queen's guard arrives." Queen's guard? Why would- Ow! I glared at the woman in front of me. She must be a healer. "Make sure nothing unwanted happens before our guests arrive." He told the new guy and walked off.

"You almost done?" The new guy asked the new girl, she doesn't answered. "Well... You two are lucky, your death have been delayed because our transportation here is more complex than what you have in your realm."

"Oh really? Thank you." I said sarcastically. The girl left me and went to Harris. I looked at my body, my cuts are still there, the wounds are still there, the ache is still there, what the fuck did she even healed? Well, I don't feel hungry anymore.

"Hey you're healing him too much!" I noticed that half of Harris' injuries earlier are gone. The girl stands and left Harris and head for the door. "Don't leave. You need to save them when they decide to take their own lives." I rolled my eyes. We wouldn't take our lives, we'll get the hell out of here alive.

They both sat on a wooden chair in front of us and the two whippers standing behind them. "Hey why didn't you lock my cell?" I asked them.

"So we could see you try and escape." The guy smirked at me.

"You'll regret belittling us." I rolled my eyes at him.

"The way you keep on rolling your eyes makes me want to make you go blind."

"Make me." His eyes suddenly went cold and frightening. I refused to show them fear which is definitely what they want. So he's the one responsible on the forest.

"You're lucky we are not allowed to play with you... For now."

"I-"

"Sheen!" I turned around to look at Harris. "Come here." I looked at him, my eyes asking him 'who are you to order me around?'. But I did it anyway.

"What?"

"I need you to stay quiet." He whispered to me.

"That's your plan?" I whispered back and he chuckled.

"No. You're distracting me." I rolled my eyes at him.

"It's funny how you two make plans that you wouldn't be able to accomplish." We ignored him.

"Count to twenty." I glared at him.

"You're making fun of me."

"No. Listen, after twenty run to the door. I'll meet you outside." He whispered in his lowest voice.

"That's impossible!" I whispered shout.

"Princess, trust me." I stared at his outstretched arm and hold it.

One, two, three, four, five, six... I looked at the four faeries in front of us, they seemed focus on somewhere. Seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven... My body felt light all a sudden. I looked down and found my cuts starting to subside, my wounds all healed up. What's happening? The girl stood up looking curious and confused.

"Hey!" She shouted and the others were alarmed.

"Now!" Harris told me and I stood on my feet, ready to run. How would I run past these guys? I need to trust Harris. I ran outside my cell, when I was almost near them, they stopped. What? Why? I used that opportunity to reach the door.

"Lem what are you doing!?" The girl shouted.

"It's not me, I also can't see." The guy answered. I opened the door and scanned if someone's out there. I get ready when I saw no one. Harris! I looked back and saw him still sitting on the ground. He's healing himself? How? He finally stood up. Come on Harris!

"They're still here." The girl yelled and the whippers attacked blindly. They can't see? I can't understand what's happening, I just hope Harris already get here.

"I got him!" Harris was whip by one of the guys. He knelt on the ground holding his shoulder. I gasped.

"At the door!" I covered my mouth when I realized they heard me. One guy came running toward the door but he turned left instead.

"Lem if you're the one doing this I'm not going to forgive you!"

"I told you that I can't als- mirror! One of them is a mirror! He's using my ability!" I was too focused watching them that I didn't notice Harris beside me. He held my hand and pulled me and dragged me outside.

A forest. We're at a forest. "Where do we go?"

"We just run." And we did. We ran straight to the woods. I looked back and see that one of the whippers is already outside. The path was dicided into two. We made a left turn but...

"It's this place." We were back on the village where we had been captured. He dragged me to the right and we ran. When i felt like dying from running, I tugged on his hands. "I can't-" My lungs is already so out of air. He led me to a bush and we covered ourselves up. I managed to chuckle on this situation. "This time, I'll make sure to thank you for hiding me in a bush." And he also chuckled.

"Tell me when you can go again." I closed my eyes.

He stood up when I did. This time, we just walked. My paranoid self kept looking back to see if someone's on our back.

"A camping site?" We were few feets away from tents and some other... materials which I think is for camping. "Let's ran away from here." I was traumatized already because the last time we tried to ask for directions, we were imprisoned. I turned my back and Harris was going to but he didn't.

"Wait."

"What?"

"They're light faes." I looked back. He's right, I don't feel any weird feelings from them.

"So? What do we do?"

"We ask." All eyes on us as we approached.
