Chapter 14:Patiently Waiting

I sat and waited, the time seem to go by really slow without Charles. I sat rocking back and fourth for what seemed like forever.

"Wow, I didn't realize how quiet it was in here and it's not like I really have any technology to entertain me, that was taken a while ago from me."

I took a huge sigh, looking down at the Sliver Marble Floor. The light was reflecting the Sliver and that was really the only thing entertaining me.

I gave the floor a half smile, seeing a small bit of my reflection in it and I reached how to it. The closer I got though, the more I could see her behind me. Glaring and judging, w.what did I do now? Why was her glare on me again?!

I started to grow warm and my breathing started to increase, I could feel her glare stab into my chest as her blonde hair kept jabbing at me. I was disgraceful, I was like him, I-!

The door creeped open and Charles walked in, his hair, clothes, and face fixed up. He looked like when I first met him, but with a different suit that matched mine.

He had a smile on his face until it changed he stared down in horror at me, and rushed over slowly picking me off the ground. I-I was on the ground? W.when did I-!

He pulled me into a hug and felt my forehead, "Ó mo(Oh my) you are so warm, Victoria were you having a panic attack? I.it's okay now, I'm here. Let me just go get some help. I don't think you-!"

I grabbed his arm and shook my head, "P.please don't just-just stay here okay?" His eyes darted to the door, he still wanted to get help but it seemed like he decided to listen to me because he took a sigh and nodded.

"Fine, I will for now, but if it happens again, I'm going Lady Victoria. Did you tell your parents about this? Does this happen often? Are you okay?"

He asked so many questions, I only really heard 3 for the rest of them I was tuning out.

I looked down, sighing and Charles' face eased, "I.I guess I understand? If you ever need to talk though, I'm here for you Lady Victoria."

I started to calm down a bit, actually forming a smile again, "Please call me Victoria, Charles, just Victoria, at least around me. It feels weird with someone around my age calling me that. I like for you to treat me as a normal Teenager, when it's just me and you."

His face beamed and he nodded, "Ahh thank you Victoria! Oh can I give you a nickname! Like um Coquelicot! Since you want to be treated like a "Normal Teen".

He did quotations around saying those word and it made me laugh a bit, "Sure um, doesn't that mean Flower or something in French?"

He nodded, "Yeah but specifically the translation means Poppy. Poppies were commonly found in the landscape of the First World War but also it has a lot to do with Calmness and Consolation. It kinda of reminds me of you."

My face in shock from all the facts Charles knew about the flower but for some reason it also made me laugh.

"Hahaha, what how do-wow I didn't know you knew all that about Poppies."

He nodded, "Yeah, my parents use to teach me little stuff like that back when we use to sew together, those were the times. Heh, what do you do with your par-!"

We both jumped as the door slammed open with two maids smiling wide at us. "It's time Lady Victoria and Seamstress. Come so the guests can see you."

I gulped, time was just going slow, but all of a sudden it sped up and it was time for me to go into the Wolves' Den.
