Chapter 25: The Secret Under the Tree Pt.2

He spoke with violent words and I took a deep breath listening to all of them. I wasn't prepared for what he was going to say. But I knew I needed to hear the truth.

I did my best to hold myself still, my arms wobbling a bit at the weight of my body. But I suffered through it for truth. For a step closer to my escape.

He took a step closer to the edge of the balcony, pulling out a cigarette. He then stomped over and over again, before letting out more frustration. "I knew we should have fired her Regina I mean look at what she done to our daughter. Corrupted her mind, you know the child owns me anyway. For being in her life ha I could have left her a long time ago but I didn't. After all she does have all the inheritance. I mean all of it! Didn't even leave your husband nothin! But that's besides the damn point the point is that damn Rene. I knew she was pretty lookin but her fat ass didn't want me. Her with her looks having the audacity to be picking. I mean she should have been grateful I even gave her the time of day!"

After hearing those words of my Father I wanted to hit him so hard, he not only talked about staying in my life for money but..But he had the insolence to talk about Rene! Rene is and will always be beautiful and one day I will find her again and tell her that. Because she has done so much for me in my life and just finding out that my father harassed her. Makes me wonder if he did anything else to her.

Tears flowed down my eyes as I tried not to scream I bit down on my lip as I started to shake and I couldn't stop my arm from twitching. I knew at anytime I would probably fall but I couldn't take what my father said, it was too much. I know I said I would hold on for Rene but after hearing this I just.

I just wanted to let go.. My left arm fell and my body shook as the pressure of my own weight started to get to me. I wasn't very strong in my biceps or any upper arm muscles. So, the weight of my body really was hard to carry, even though I didn't weight much actually.

I thought it was going to be all over for me until my Father turned to a knocking at the door that he closed. I couldn't tell who it was when he opened it but it must have been someone important. Because he left the balcony after talking to them for a little bit and dropping his now dead cigarette on my hair. I blinked my tired wet eyes a few times and I let go of the railing.

I felt myself falling free until an arm grabbed me, pulling me up with a struggled grunt. I wondered who it was but my eyes were so full that I couldn't tell the face. I just heard someone with a distressed yelling.

"Lady.Victoria! Lady.Victoria! Are you okay? What happened why were you off the balcony? Please Coquelicot can you tell me-."

Everything went dark.
