Chapter 35:The Plan

The Gathering was now over and it was Charles, Me, and My Parents left. Of course their were still maids and butlers scurrying around, but for the most part it was just us. I decided I needed to have a plan of action due to me receiving two gifts. One of choice and the other by accident, A.K.A me sneaking off to get a breath of fresh air but accidentally ending up finding a clue, to my Seamstress' location.

I didn't think my journey to Rene' would start this soon but I'm glad it did because I'm ready to take action. First thing's first I have to make sure this letter gets to my room without my parents seeing it, because if they find out that I have it..Then they will take it, maybe even moving Rene's location in the process. So I had to be careful.

I took a glance at Charles who seem to be waiting for his next instructions, as my parents were ran around exchanging conversation with the maids. It was probably going to be time for the cameras to go back on soon, so I needed to act fast. I had to trust someone and I knew that someone had to be Charles. I took a deep breath, looking around to see if anyone was paying attention to us and I tapped Charles' shoulder.

In response he down to me in surprise and I laid my head on his shoulder. "I need your help." I whispered, he sat still from my sentence but he smiled glancing around finally whispering back, saying, "Of course what is it that you need Lady.Victoria." "Call me Victoria for now since it's just you and me but I need your help with a letter. I recently received one from an anonymous person and I want to review it first, before it gets to my parents can you help?"

He tilted my head slightly near me with a nod, "Yeah I can do that, I mean this might get me in trouble but if you're sure then-!" "I'm sure." "Okay, then I have a plan, drop the letter on the floor and I'll pick it up. After the evaluation I'll wait a couple of minutes and then come to your room to give you the letter. Is that alright?" I lifted my head up with a slight stretch and nodded.

I didn't tell him the full-truth but I hope to one day. I don't fully Charles but I also don't fully un-trust him. I know he's working for my parents but I feel he wants the best for both parties. Not only just to do his job but to please both me and my parents. He is a kind soul who's got himself caught up in web of tangles. Complicated webs that he will soon find out lead to a bigger cause, to a spider with poison ready to inject its venom inside Charles' body.

Furthermore, with a slight shake of my curly hair, I tripped myself falling on the floor with the letter in hand. It made quite a bit of noise but I wasn't to much hurt in the end. A few maids stopped to make sure I was okay but Charles helped me up. Secretly taking the letter and sliding it in his front pocket. Placing another handkerchief above it, "Are you okay Lady.Victoria? That was quite the fall you had."

I dusted my dress off with a nod, "I am, I guess I'm just a little more exhausted from the Gathering more than I thought." "As am I." A voice followed after, a voice that made my stomach drop and my eyes wide.

My mother was back and it was time for the Evaluation.
