When we arrived to the mansion Marie gulped while I just gripped my bag, I know there is a gun there, safety is key and I just want to get us both to safety.
The house was pretty impressive, but in Spain there are mansions that would practically make this house look like an ant, not like I'll ever go back there though.
"Let's go inside then" Benjamin says as he places his hand on Marie's lower back and guides her inside and they begin to engage in a conversation.
I glare at how his hand slowly moves down and as Marie continues to blush, still maintaining eye contact as she smiles up at him.
A feel an arm then grab my back and follow up the arm to meet Mr Knight, who continues walking like nothing's happening.
I scoff before pushing his hand off of me and following Marie and Benjamin up close, ready to kill him if necessary.
Body heat follows close behind me and I begin to get agitated, after all it is my personal space.
Why does he piss me off so much?
We arrive at the office and Mr Knight takes his office seat while Benjamin stands next to him, still smiling with delight, this guy likes his job too much.
They gesture for us to take the two seats in front of him and we take up the offer, Marie looking around in confusion before doing so.
I cross my leg over again and rest my hands on my lap, keeping my eyes on the men in the room in case we need to make a break for it.
Marie shuffled around before she lets out a huff and just sits with her knees together and looks down at her hands that grip onto each other, she was like a lost puppy most days and a hyperactive one the next.
"So, Miss Gomerez." He starts, "your father and I had a contract. A line of business if you'd like"
At this is raise an eyebrow as my body goes stiff at the mention of my father, who peacefully rests in a coffin six feet under in another country, lucky son of a bitch.
Marie seems to notice so she reaches across and grabs my hand, I had told her about my whole life.
The abuse, the murders, the mafia and everything else basically.
She gave my hand a comforting squeeze, and I feel the confidence she try's to send my way, I decide to speak up.
"What was this deal? Might I ask"
"His oldest child is to marry me" he states blankly as if though it's the most normal thing people here on a daily basis, the other guy bit his lip as though to suppress a laugh in this situation.
Marie sinks in her seat, wanting to disappear as my eyes widen slightly.
"disculpe, hizo qué?" I question (excuse me, he did what?)
They all look at me in confusion as Mr Knights eyes grow darker.
"I said. 'Excuse me, he did what?' Because this is my life and...he's dead" I defend, which is a valid point, I'm a free bird, I can go and do anything I want without any contract in my way.
"I know that, I announced the deal to your aunt and she agreed to the same conditions" he says as he sits up all dominant like, with his large biceps and black suit.
"esa pequeña perra" (that little bitch)
How is it that a man who is six feet under, stool in a box, in another country, still fucking up my life for me?!
Marie gives me a weird look but I give her the 'I'll tell you later' look, shrugging her off while frowning at the thing that's happening in front of me.
"We are to be wed. I'll allow you to go pack your bags and the rest will be sent over later, you just need to sign this"
He shows a contract and hands me a pen, gesturing me to sign and get on with it.
In a sudden flash I grip the pen and stab it through the paper and into the desk, I meet his eyes as he seems kinda annoyed but Lustful.
"vete al infierno" (go to hell)
I grab Marie and we begin to leave, they can all go die, join my fucking father under the ground.
I begin to mutter angrily in Spanish, it's quite a habit of mine, as I continue to drag Marie away from that mess, her trying to keep up with my steps as I also remind myself where my gun is.
We had been walking down the street for around a couple minutes, as I continued to walk back to my house, not wanting to be anywhere near that house again.
I slammed the door shut once we entered and found my family still on the couch, sat there watching a film while enjoying some coffee, as though I wasn't just abducted.
"Where is he?" My mom questions while sitting up to get a better view, "is he waiting in the car for you ?"
That's when I lost it.
