I was finally discharged from the hospital, I didn't hear anything from Father or Manny let alone Charlie. After I got out, Quinn made me stay at her house and made sure I ate.
I frowned.
"I think I can take care of myself, I really don't need to be here,"
She put her hand on her hip and gave me a look. My resolved quickly crumbled and I gave in. I shoved down some of the food she made me.
She nodded her approval with a smile. I pouted and grumbled about the unfairness of this world once she was out of ear shot.
She giggled. "I heard that!"
I gasped. Damnit, her and her great sense of hearing, I grumpily thought.
I finished my meal and was trying to escape to the guest room I was occupying when she grabbed me out of nowhere and we ended up falling on the couch.
"W-where did you come from!?" I asked my voice squeaking in nervousness.
She laughs. "What do you mean? I never left silly." She teased.
I felt my face flush as I grumbled in annoyance. Realizing what a comfortable position we were in, I refused to move. Her laughing began to die down and she asked nervously.
"Aren't you going to get off?"
"Nope! This is what you get for attacking me!" I huffed.
"So you're going to sit on me because of that...?" Her voice ending in a whisper.
"Yep!"
A few minutes later, she began to squirm underneath me.
"C-can you get off me now?" Her voice sounded strained and made a strange squeaking sound.
"Why?"
"B-because..."
Pouting I get up and she ran away to her room. Confused I sat back down on the couch. An hour or so later she came back out looking... relieved? She certainly did look like she was feeling better.
"Now what do you want for dinner?" She asked with a smile.
