Chapter 5

With battle scars to show his past, LongWei had grown stronger still with his weyr of dragons he commanded effortlessly. He led them victoriously, taking over more and more lairs. Each lair, five dragons stay behind to protect what was his. One night LongWei had twenty of his strongest dragons beside him when he was once again connected to FengGe.

"Meet me at HuangShan City in Anhui Province," FengGe ordered. "Before nightfall," he added.

"Why should I go there, when you can just as easily come to me?" LongWei argued back.

"Because without me your fire power would not be as strong," FengGe threatened, "Or I may decide to block you from using it."

"You wouldn't!" LongWei cried angrily. "You swore to protect me and never go against me," LongWei hoped FengGe wouldn't fight him.

"Don't test me LongWei. You have been testing my limits for too long now," FengGe warned.

"So what if I have? It is only because Mother and Father always liked you better. I could do no right. All I heard was why can't you be more like FengGe. FengGe is so hardworking and handsome. In their eyes I never actually existed," LongWei bellowed.

"You think I had fun growing up? Their expectations of me felt like heavy weights, I did not get a moment's peace to myself. I felt stretched to my limits. I felt..." FengGe paused. "Trapped!" they both said in unison.

Long after FengGe disconnected their minds, LongWei thought about meeting his brother. Worried that FengGe really would fight him, he decided to hatch a plan to prepare. Before setting off to seek FengGe, two of LongWei's disciples tried to persuade him not to go as it might be a trap. However, LongWei's instincts were far stronger and ignored their cowardice. LongWei set off with ten followers instead of twelve. The two he left behind managed to persuade a few other dragons, unbeknownst to LongWei and rampaged through random villages destroying anything and everything in their path. LongWei was forced to turn back to prevent anymore destruction. Once he caught up to them he discovered they had company, three bird-like creatures that looked similar to Feng Huang, but they were different colours. Then he saw flames burst out and he knew immediately he had to intervene. LongWei sent his fire and ice spikes hurtling towards them putting a halt to everything. The three bird-like creatures managed to deflect it, but were shocked to witness LongWei used them at the same time.

After the fight was over, LongWei and FengGe spoke to each other. A conversation that no one could hear or understand. The prophecy of the fusion had already happened and FengGe knew the moment it started along with LongWei. They were both feeling the effects, being slightly disoriented.

When the fusion was complete FengGe and LongWei worked together with good intentions creating a new world to reign, with the occasional disagreements. They're fusion was only temporary, but they were linked in their minds for eternity.
