The wind was knocked out of me and my eyes pained. I was able to look up to the dragon. It pulled his head back and a green glow emitted from the back of his throat.
The size of the dragon was making me choke on air so, there was no way I could reach my dagger without killing myself. My mind was rummaging with ideas and tricks, but none of them could help me get out of this situation.
" H-Hiccup." I choked hoping he heard me. The dragon however, pinned its claws into my flesh and acid dropped from the corner of his mouth, almost falling onto me.
My vision was getting darker and darker. Until a purple blast hit the dragon. The change wing jumped and flew away with blinding speed.
Footsteps sounded and shouts of more people. By this point I couldn't tell where was anything was. Everything was blurry in my head. I felt a hand going to my shoulder and I flinched as pain took his course.
" Hey hey hey, it's gonna be ok. Just hold on." The voice spoke nervously. The pain coursed through my arms to my legs and then my chest was just barely rising and falling.
" What's going on Hiccup?" A female voice asked loudly.
" I don't know. I want to say its mostly because of shock but its not...look. Claw marks. Lets get her to the clubhouse." I felt arms picking me up from the ground and groaned when his tunic touched my wounds.
" Is that...change wing marks?" A boy asked. " I think so Fislegs ." Hiccup replied. I blink just to get the darkness out of my eyes and see the familiar face of Hiccup. " You can let me down now." I admitted.
" You sure?" I nod. Its not like I cant take care of myself, I am a dragon hunter for Thor's sake! He gently let go of my legs so that I can stand. My legs were wobbly but as stubborn as I was I still stood.
" What happened?" Hiccup inquired. " Change wing attack." I mumble trying to see where this Clubhouse was. " No wonder we couldn't see the dragon." Astrid exclaimed. I hummed.
" Lets get you fixed up." Astrid insisted. I wanted to scowl at everybody for .....caring? I wasn't used to this much attention and I didn't like it either.
I could take care of myself, but as much as I want scowl and glare I just have to accept the fact that they should help me. They began walking towards the assumed Clubhouse until I noticed the chubby boy wasn't with us.
I turned around fearing it might be too late but, all I saw was him examining the footprints of the Change wing. I furrowed my brow as I continue watching him . " Fishlegs what are you doing?" Snotlout asked.
" Well...Change wings are usually at the other side of the island so I wonder what made them go so far from their territory. "He answered loudly.
" He's right." Astrid mumbled . " We'll look into it later, for now lets rest." Hiccup nodded. It felt like two yacks had been dumped on me when I saw a shadow moving behind a bush. It's movement was slow and careful .
Fishlegs pulled out cards and started muttering to himself. I however, kept my eye on the shadow while walking with the group. My brain was fuzzy and confused but, luckily my instincts were still sharp.
A while later we all walked into a wooden room. It was large with a firepit in the middle and there were tapestries hanging from the wall. In the corner there were several barrels filled with weapons and chairs.
For something so simple it certainly felt cozy. " You can sit here while we clean your wound." Hiccup pointed to a chair. I had to keep my frown at bay and smile.
I walk over to the chair and examined the claw marks. It was big but nothing a bandage and an Icepack can't do.
A few minutes later, Astrid came up to me with an icepack and a bandage. " Thanks." I said taking the supplies from her. She walked away after nodding. I started bandaging my arm when Snotlout came up to me with a smirk.
I sighed when he leaned against the wall while looking at me. " So Imora huh?" He began . Idiot . My brain shouted as I rolled my eyes.
" Your probably too distracted my manliness. Don't worry, Astrid does too." He continued, flexing his muscles. I just gave him the 'are you serious? ' look. He smiled as I shot him a death glare.
After a while he went away and so did a few of the Dragon Riders. Only Fishlegs and Hiccup was left and they were talking lowly while pointing to a map.
I was sore not only from the Dragon riding but, sitting in a chair for two hours while thinking about that strange shadow. I decided to strike up a conversation. My legs took me to where they were standing.
They were looking at a map similar to the one I had in one of my chests. " What are you looking at?" I asked. They jumped a little but made space for me to see. " What Viggo is planning next." Hiccup answered.
" Who's Viggo?" I spilled, proud at my performance. " A Dragon hunter that sells dragons for the highest bitter." Fishlegs answered this time. Wait.... what ?!
" He sells them?!" I exclaimed. " Yeah sometimes he even kills them." Hiccup said and looked down sadly. My heart stung with betrayal.
I.....he...lied..to me? I asked myself in my state of shock. My chest pained as thoughts rummaged through my head. He told me he....saves them ....
I now felt like a child. How oblivious can I be? Dragons Hunters! There's a reason why it's called hunters! Not savers! Anger and betrayal coursed through my veins.
" Are you sure?" I whispered hoping that it was a joke. " Of course ! Why else would he cage dragons?" Fishlegs asked. " Oh..." I mutter defeated.
" Where will I sleep?" I inquired changing the subject. " You can sleep in my hut. Toothless will keep you company." Hiccup answered.
I nodded and made my way outside. The cold air didn't help my emotions. I saw the Night fury as he looked at me. I cautiously walked past him and glance at the different types of huts.
As if the dragon could read my mind he walked past me to a red-ish hut. I followed him all the way to the hut and opened the strange door. I was impressed to say the least.
His hut had two levels and I guess the second one was where he slept. I hoped up the stairs and saw his bed next to a metal circle.
Toothless jumped onto the metal and turned in a circle while heating it with a purple fire. I slowly made my way to the bed and sat down.
It was hard but warm. I lay down on the covers and smell the scent of Hiccup. It was leather mixed with wild berries. I breathe it in because it was in a strange way; very comforting.
There was a small window where the moon shined through. I observed her and let the small tears fall on the pillow. My mind flashed back to the very day he lied ...
