'1.1' A misunderstanding

Is that a.. Change wing? Well, at least I get to haunt my brothers. I was so sure this was the end, my mind already began scheming of all the things I would do. I could move Viggo's Maces and Talons pieces when he isn't looking... I could move the food away from Ryker on the table while he is busy- I groan at the sudden impact.

" What the-" " Hey princess!" A voice cheered. My mind was confused. My heart was in shock and my body was in pain. I glance towards the owner of the voice. A boy with black hair and a cocky smile looked back.

" Snotlout?" I asked dumbfounded. " Eeyup." He answered popping the 'p'. " What are you- how did you-but-.....what?" I asked myself so caught in my head. " You where falling from Valhalla, so... technically ..you fell for me." He flirted.

My eyes twitched a bit. " Oh, sorry I clearly landed on the wrong dragon." I retorted trying to balance myself on the neck of the dragon. " Oh come on! I worked on that for ages!" He whined.

My hands held the neck of the Monstrous Nightmare as I scooted myself towards him. Eventually, I was right behind him holding his shoulders. " By the way, why were you falling?" He asked steering the dragon closer to the ground. " Like you said; fell from Valhalla." I answered smugly.

My eyes got a flick of white on the forest floor, and without thinking the consequences, I jumped. My feet got ready to land on the floor and I prepared for pain.

I closed my eyes in anticipation. A thud perked my curiosity. My feet didn't feel any pain, but I can't say the same for my butt. I opened my eyes seeing white under me. " Oh! Hey girl." I greeted nervously. She was lifting her wings up and down to balance herself in the air.

My hand went up to scratch her, but green acid flew through the air, making both of us flinch in another direction. I don't know what clicked in my mind, but something surely did. Hold on.. I thought for a second.

Change wing attack.... Dragons out of their territory, which is odd since they are very territorial... And Destiny appearing IN their territory. I pieced together.

Well, now we know WHY the change wings were on the OTHER SIDE of the island! And what saved me from the random Change wing...Wow. I never knew I could feel more stupider than a rock...

I face palm myself, clearly embarrassed. I felt the gush of wind and part dust coming from Destiny's wings since we were just barely above the trees. My hands strangely found their way to her neck as I peeked over her shoulder. A chill went down my spine. Three angry Change wings jumping towards us, getting ready to fire acid.

As quick as a Speed Stinger she turned around and started flying through the trees. I on the other hand, clung to her neck like a parasite. After a few seconds, my mind got accustomed to the blinding speed and snarling wind. I put my head low to her ears so that I could keep losing my eyes to a minimum.

My feet dropped to her shoulders as I lightly steered her to the right. She followed my movement and dodged a tree. I smile happily. Never did I think a Dragon Hunter would ride a dragon!

A voice in the back of my mind whispered in a nasty voice: " What if your brothers found out?" The thought alone made my heart stop and stomach turn. I didn't want them to find out. I really really don't want them to find out.

I ignored the voice for now, after all, this was more important than what if's. I continue to steer her through the forest, she occassionally did it herself since she was in every way better at flying than me.

The trees started to get lower and lower, at a point where we were barely even flying, just gliding over the ground. I knew Change wings couldn't keep up with the speed of a..... Night fury?

The question made me confused beyond reason. Night furies are black not... white? Could she be an albino? Or...a whole new species? My heart raced a bit.

Destiny gradually slowed down while I was caught up in my head. She landed in a dense bush pulling me into reality. The first thing that my mind wanted to do was apologise. I jumped off her back and gently scratched the side of her face.

She purred and leaned into my touch. I felt guilt bubbling inside of me. I mean; I was the one who doubted her, I was the one who didn't trust her, I was the one who ran away. A part of me told me it wasn't my fault, since after all, I've been brought up to hurt and sell them.

" I'm.... sorry." I sighed embarrassed. I don't like apologising, I never did and I doubt I ever will. She gave me a look which I couldn't figure out why she was looking at me like that. As if nothing ever happened she licked my hand.

Wasn't she disappointed? " Thank you." I blurted out. She continued licking, ignoring me. I kneeled. Just the sight of a dragon licking my hand was enough to make me content. A small smile spread on my lips.

I didn't know what to feel. Viggo lied to me. Destiny rescued me, twice and I have only been here one day. " I am so confused Destiny." I admitted. " I ran away from you.... but.. you were just protecting me all along... he lied to me and I fell for it." I whispered looking down. Small tears stinging my eyes.

I quickly wiped them away and smiled for the sake of her. I wanted to press my head against her, but that was interrupted with familiar footsteps behind me.
