CHAPTER two

AVIE'S  POV

The car came to a stop in circle drive way in front of the house, lexi got out of the car first, I hesitated for about five minutes but eventually got out, and got my bags once we paid the driver he headed back out the way he came, I took a moment to take in the scenery around me, there was- beautiful colorful flowers on each side the front porch tall white pillars on each side of the steps, and the yard was mostly open but mostly trees and forest, but I kinda figured that with this being werewolves and all, I got pulled away from the beautiful sites when a tall lady with brown hair and- green eyes her hair was in a neat bun pink- plush cheeks a flowery sun dress and- white hills I'm assuming this is lexi's- mother I think? I kinda forget what her- parents look like, I mean it has been 2 years since I've seen them last,

Hi mom, lexi said as she ran into her mothers arms, she embraced lexi but dropped her hands and walk aside when she saw me,

She smiled and walked toward me,

I took a step back, i mean she looks hungry- oh my god I'm totally going to be lunch,

I swallowed the lump in throat in took calming breaths, they are my beat friends pack they wont hurt me, I kept saying over and over in head,

Will they?

She approaches me and gives me a quick embrace,

What the.... I thought, but I was cut outta my thoughts by lexi mom,

I'm Annabelle I'm Lexi's mother. is very nice to have you here for the summer. Annabelle smiles at me, .. thanks! it's nice to see you again mrs fatale  I smiled back and picked up my bags and sat them on the porch,

I'll have one of the pack members take your things to your rooms, you two must be famished? she said and motioned us to follow her,  "we did"

And when the door open and we walked in, I couldn't help but admire the house it was beautiful, tall ceilings white walls with golden trim, big windows white furniture with the same gold trim, lightly varnished coffee table and side tables, a beautiful flower gold area rug, I gasped how beautiful it was, I followed lexi and mrs fatale through the hall way it was filled with pictures of lexi and her parents and other people I didn't know, there were light color table on each side of the huge hall way, I followed them as they turn through a door to the left to reveal a big and beautiful chef like kitchen -stainless still appliances, and a big island counter mr's fatale pointed to a the bar stools, and we both sat down and she made us each a sandwich,

Thanks mr's fatale, I said as I dug in my sandwich, it was so delicious it has to be the best sandwich I'd ever tasted!

I bet you girls are tired after your trip, said mr's fatale.I didnt say anything, I was just enjoying my sandwich, avie you can come with me to see my dad if you want? she said. Uh.. I think I'm gonna go unpack- but tell you father I said hi, and I guess I'll see him at dinner? She nodded, and left to find her father, after I finished. My sandwich mr's fatale showed me to my room, we walked up the staircase and she pointed to the- right at the top of the stairs,

Your at the last room to the left, and Lexi's room is to the left all the way to right, it's the biggest rooms, she laughed and winked at me,

Thanks mr's fatale for having me this summer, I really appreciate it, I said and smiled at her,

Anytime,When she open the door, my bags was on the floor by the bed, it was a huge room a- queen side bed it had rounded windows- that looked over the forest, and it had it's- own bathroom in the room nice! It has a big shower and even a tub,  "wow" these people must be rich? I walked over to my luggage and started unpacking, after i finished i sat the duffel bags in the walk in closet, and went to put my stuff in the bathroom, after I set up my make up- perfume

tooth brush tooth paste and- brush and shampoo and razors in the- bathroom, I thought I'd be tired but no such luck, but it was only 3:00pm "damn it" I laid on the bed staring up at the ceiling man, I miss my kicking boxing classes, and my gym I've got pretty good muscles in my arms and legs, I wonder if I can go for a run? I mean we left home at 8:00am and i never made my morning run, with the last thought i hoped off the bed stripped down. and pulled on my yoga pants and work out bra and

put on my nike running sneakers tied my hair in bun. and headed out the door, once I walked out the front door I- placed my earpuds in and turn on my playlist, journey dont stop believing was the first song that played, i stuck my phone in the side pocket of my yoga pants, a darted off towards the forest lineThe scent of the pine trees filled my Nostrils, I closed my eyes and breathed in the scent,

As I finished my lap around the property line making sure not to go into the forest,I started on my second lap when trevor Daniel's falling started playing through the earbuds, I closed my eyes and picked up my pace, this song always gives me motivation I love it so much, I started singing along to the lyrics my body was starting to sweat after my 4th lap, "YES" this is so much better then paying for the gym back home, post malone psycho starts playing, and I run fast pushing my self to my limits, my panting breaths told me I should slow down, but I couldn't I couldn't get enough of this place, I closed my eye forcing my self to run faster and- hard as I could I was definitely filling the burn,

"THUG"

"FUCK "

I rub my eyes to clear my vision, the  pain in my abdomen, what the fuck had I hit? a tree maybe? I blinked hard, and finally my vision was back, I looked around no tree what the hell? had I hit then? just before I could finish my thoughts, a rough voice cleared their throat,  "uh oh"

I looked down, and I was laying on top of him,

"SHIT" this cant be happening right now, could it?

I'm so sorry, I choaked out,

Dont you fucking watch where your going? His voice came out angry, his pupils were dilated, his black hair was a mess no shirt, I could see the sweat rolling off his perfect ripped abs- his body was beautifully toned perfect skin tone, his jaw clenched 'oh no' he's pissed,

I.i. I'm sorry, I stuttard

Why are you still on top of me? He demanded,

Uh, I really dont know? I breathed.

His eyes was pulling me, in his scent was intoxicating me, I was froze I couldn't move, I stared into his eyes.

His eyes roamed my body, he sat up but didnt move me off him, but why?

He sniffed my neck, his arms snaked around My waist ....what the hell is happening right now?

His eyes met mine once more, his eyes changed to blue? he just stared at me for a- good five minutes without speaking.

I'm sorry I ran into you, I said breaking the silence.

You shouldn't be running out here alone, your human, he whispered. his voice not so much angry now,I'm avie... I told him.

He looked at me  with confusion in his eyes.

Are you lost? His eyebrows arches together,

I'm Lexi's friend, I came with her for the summer, who are you? I asked curiously.

Ember, he said flat.

We both managed to get to our feet, his eyes still hasn't left mine, his stare is making my knees weak, and leave it to clumsy me I lost my footing, he was quick to catch me, but the moment his finger touch my skin the fire sensation spread- goosebumps all over my body, I looked down at his touch because I thought he actually burn me  but to my surprise nothing, just his hand. Uh. "WOW" i glanced back up at him, he was already staring at me,

Do you feel that to ? I murmured.

He didn't say anything, he just turned around and walked away.

I searched the area quickly to find my earbuds, lucky I found them and ran back to the house, but my thoughts was racing- trying to rap my head around what just happen, I ran faster to house trying to clear my thoughts, once I reached the house lexi was sitting on the porch with someone, I slowed my pace, just a little giving what just happen.

Oh hey, there you are, lexi said as she motioned me to come to her.

I walked up the porch, slowly and approached them.

Hey sorry I went for run while you were seeing your dad, I said and walked over to- chair that was beside her, which made her in the middle there was a guy sitting beside her, he has dark brown hair green eyes and well built,. What the hell? is with these boys here? I thought to my self.

It's okay, she said, this is rudi, she added- and gestured his way.

Hi, I'm avie, I said and stuck my hand out for him to shake, he Immediately shook my hand, his grip was strong but soft.

Nice to meet you rudi, I smiled.

Uh, avie what the hell happen to you? Your- forehead its bruised?

I cant tell her what really happen she- would think I'm crazy,

Oh" I ran into a tree, I shrugged.

Oh avie, be careful next time, she said.

Maybe I can- run with you next time? rudi offers,

Yeah, that would be fun I usually run at 9am, i can meet you on the porch then, I said and jump to feet.

Yeah, that sound great, he smiled.

Okay well, I gotta go shower because I'm all sticky with sweat, so I guess I'll you- guys at dinner? I said,

Yeah, we will see you then they both said in sync, I walked into the house and ran up stairs into my room, I stripped out of my- clothes and walked to the bathroom started the shower, and climbed in as the water hit my aching muscles- I found my body starting to relax, I washed my hair and body, and stood under the water I- couldn't stop thinking about ember, and his perfect face -and how I wanted to lick those beautiful abs! What the hell? are you thinking avie? get a fucking grip! I told my self ,after fighting my thoughts the water turn cold, and that was my cue to get out. I rapped a towel around my self and climbed out of the shower walking back to the- bedroom, I grabbed a loose fitted dress- navy blue in color and sat it on the bed, once I dried my self off I slipped on- underwear no need for bra, it's not like my breast or huge or anything, and with that last thought I slipped on the dress and comb through my long hair, I was so hungry after my run I wonder if dinner is- done? Mmmm and with that I left the room,
