Juan Vs. Roderick

I was more than ready for the fight. The fire for the revenge was flowing through my veins. I wore my armour and held my sword tight. I remembered how I blew the opportunity to get selected to the Levander army at my first chance when Roderick dismantled me. I took a deep breath and entered the fighting circle.

We both were standing face to face with a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. "Begin!", shouted Musif Leren standing outside the fighting circle.

The match began with us, covering circles around the battleground, he went forward to strike my helmet with his shield and warned, "Keep your head in the game, big boy." He was trying to mock me and wanted me to lose my calm, just like he did in our previous fight.

I recalled my father's words,"Son, remember it is not the aggression which makes one a great warrior, it is patience," and went forward to strike his sword with my shield, followed by a strike on his armour with my sword. With a thud, he fell on his knees. I tried to finish the fight by hitting his helmet with my sword.

But to my surprise, he defended it with his sword, blocking mine horizontally and he pushed me backwards. After that, he jumped towards me to attack my armour with his sword. He continuously kept on attacking my ribs. History was repeating itself, I was incompetent to defend myself. He kept on hitting me. I was on my knees. He then took one step backwards and was going to hit his final shot on my helmet. But before he could strike, I hit him with my sword on his helmet with full fury. He fell on the ground in disbelief of what had happened. I got the opportunity I needed. Just when I was going to strike my final shot to win the battle, I heard a voice of deep cry.

As I looked around, I saw Queen Josephine entering the training ground with a glimpse of fear. She fell on the ground and screamed, "Warrior John Swift, please save my son. I don't want him to die. It was blood curling to see the Queen in such a horrendous situation. Her tall figure almost fainted as she cried in despair.

"Queen Josephine are you okay?" Asked Musif.

"What has happened, pray to tell us," said father.

"Come with me, and I will show you what has happened," she said.

"Alright, Warriors, training is over now go back to your respective rooms," announced father. And then he left the ground along with Musif and the Queen.
