Garnet Bloom

Gently dripping my garnet breath,

Feverish, fickle, a winter sunk rose

Praising my flesh's lost warmth

Praising the heart I once lost

Treading along my aery, ashen step

I admire those restless, lulling stars

Who taint silver upon darkened skies,

Moon bleeding beauty beside me

Wind grazes my threshing flesh

Freezing warmth atop its olden bones

Setting such regrets to rest softly

Softly resting upon such blessings

My weeping shadow walks toward dawn

His still hands dragging his rosy lips

Outstretched upon my garnet husk,

Its breath raised along my burning heart,
