Winters pov.

"Okay, now what I've called everyone on our voice mails," I ask Peter.

He's playing with Lilly sitting on his lap. They have been inseparable. She really adores him. They played tea party and makeup. I can't believe he let her put makeup all over his face he looked so ridiculous! I laugh to myself shaking my head.

"It looks to me you're all finished up. You answered all the voice mails and emails. That's all my orders were to assist you with ma'am." He tells me solemnly.

"Okay! Great! Let's get out of here then." I tell them.

"Piggyback ride Peaty! Piggyback ride!" Lilly yells at Peter. Yes, she gave him a damn nickname too Peaty! I roll my eyes mentally.

"Okay, my little princess." He bends down. "Hop on wrap your arms around my neck and hang on real tight okay." He tells her in a stern dad like voice it's a bit weird considering he will be her mate one day.

"Let's go Peaty!" They take off him bending his knees with every step so she bounces on his back down the stairs. It makes me giggle.

We walk into the living room.

"Really guys? Yall didn't do enough of that earlier." Michael and Julious are performing pushups like its easy breezy!

"We have a competition momma who can do the most and I'm going to kick his butt and send em home whining!" Julious says while continuing his pace.

"I'm sorry Michael I don't know where he gets that mouth at." I apologize.

He doesn't speak he's already red in the face. Probably won't last much longer and that's how the male ego is ruined!

"Okay put me down put me down!" Lilly tells Peter. "I need a drink Peaty," Lilly says while wiping fake sweat off her forehead with the back of her little hand. He squats down to her eye level.

"What would my little princess like to drink?" He asks her. She taps her little index finger on her pursed out lips looks up at the ceiling while tapping her little foot on the floor. She hums.

"I think I want some juice Peaty." She looks at him with a big smile. He gives her a playful wink.

"Your wish is my command little princess." He says as he makes his way to get her juice.

"Dude you need to work on your upper body strength! I could have done twice that! You been eating too much food hua?" Julious asks Michael with a raised eyebrow.

"Im gonna tickle you till you piss your self Julious how bout them apples?" He says with his nostrils flared and jaw tight. He takes off after Julious. I seriously hope he catches em teach his ass a lesson in talking shit all the time jeez!

"Okay, you have to pinkie promise me that we will be best friends until I die or not like you no more." Lilly presents her pinkie to Peter to take.

"What do you mean not like me no more?" He says all sassy like.

"You might make me mad and we not be friends no more." She says giving him a stern look.

"How about if I buy you flowers or candy? Then we can still be best friends then right?"

"Okay candy lots of candy if you make me mad!" She says waiting for his pinkie.

"Deal little Princess!" And they pinky promise to always be best friends. It's been a really good day, to say the least. I've had fun the pups are having fun all I need now is my mate. Our bonds starting to hurt with him being gone. I want to be wrapped in his arms and feel how strong we are together. I never thought I'd miss him and here I am.

"Luna dinners ready" Lady K. Informs me.

"Thank you very much we'll be right there." I smile at her. She nods my way and excuses herself.

"Stop! Stop!" Julious yells as Micheal and James tag-team tickling him to death.

"Alright boys time for dinner," I tell em. They imminently race each other to the dining room.

Peter picks Lilly up sitting her on his shoulder and carries her to the dining table.

We all sit down to our feast. We have rolls. We have pork chops. There's corn on the cobb too.

"Peaty, please cut my pork chop it's too big." Lilly gives him puppy eyes and a pouted lip.

"Only for you little princess." He gives her a stern look and nods then starts cutting away.

"Peaty will you cut the corn off my cobb too?" Lilly asks sweetly.

"Pretty much anything you say, little princess." He tells her truthfully.

"One time I broke my arm and the bone was sticking out my elbow three inches long! Little dude!" Michael was telling Julious. I mean really at the dinner table? I guess so! I mentally slap my self.

"That's nothing man! One time I got smashed so hard in my right eye that my left popped out! Didn't even know it dude till folks started panicking." He says then starts eating while everybody's jaws dropped starting at him like he lost an eyeball!

"Well damn how you get it back in?" Micheal asks intrigued.

"We just popped it back in man." He says with a shrug to his shoulders. I decide to keep quiet and begin eating again. Who knows what I don't know. He won't bring up anything else if he thinks he's scaring me I know that much. Michael's eyes get huge and he nods in shock I think.

"Have you ever been electrocuted, dude?" Julious asks. Oh, Moon Goddess no! Please don't let him finish!

"Naw I can't say I have man" Michael shakes his head and furrows his eyebrows at him sadly.

"What about you guy?" He questions Peter and James. They both shake their heads no.

"Its crazy man! Your whole body starts shaking and thrashing! First, it starts as a tingle nothing to...it then the pain comes. I bet you'd cry like a girl. Seriously!" Julious says.

"You see somebody get electrocuted, little man?" James now asks concern written on his face.

"Yeah I did it twice and watched somebody fry to death but he was a bad guy ya know." He shakes his head up an down like that guy deserved it. I just don't even have an appetite right now. Why did my baby go through all these terrible things? Why?

"Tell me something else man?" James asks.

"The worst thing for me was one guy gives you a piece of information then three or four guys got to try and get that information from you. So they dunked my head in water over and over till somebody killed me  I had to be jumped back to life CPR and all that. That was the scariest thing I was ever put through." I can't take any more tears are already flowing down my face I quickly get to my room and lock my door and break down.

"Winter what's wrong?" Richard's voice is in my head.

"Im not too far now babe" He mind links me again.

"Okay" I mind link him. That's all I can say.

I don't know how long it was but eventually, there was a turning of the doorknob.

"Babe unlock the door for me please." He says gently. I slowly get up and make my way and let him in.

He engulfs me in his arms and I cry loudly it wasn't pretty. He kept rubbing my back telling me everything okay. Finally, my eyes dried up and I let him go walked over and sat on the bed staring at a piece of the floor.

Richard sits beside me lifts my chin to look at him and he's sad needing to know what has got me like this.

"Baby tell me what's going on it that pretty head of yours." He speaks softly.

"Oh, Richard" I continue to sob while trying to explain. "First he told Michael he was socked so hard in his right eye his left popped out and they just popped it back in." His eyes almost bulge out his head. Speechless! "Then he was explaining what it feels like to be electrocuted. He was electrocuted twice Richard TWICE!" Still speechless but he's breathing heavy."Yesterday he said they tied him up or chained him and beat him black and blue and he wouldn't let them bring him home till he was all healed! The worst though THE WORST was when he died!" Im crying so hard I can't finish! Richard reaches over and engulf's me in his arms.

"They...they killed him! They drowned him till he died trying to get information he wouldn't give them trying to be tuff! He had to be shocked back and CPR!" I can't stop the tears! I don't know why someone would do all these things to a child!

"I didn't know! I swear I didn't know!" I cry to him.

"It's okay babe it's not your fault he was an evil man. He won't touch you or our boy ever again. That's a promise okay he's gone for good babe." He kisses the top of my head. I nod in his shoulder completely upset.

Richard tucks me in kisses my head.

"Get some rest babe ill take care of the pups. Okay?" I nod. He kisses my cheek once more before leaving me to rest.
