Chapter 36 Learning to be a dad

Richards pov.

My women's upset and she has every right to be I mean I'm shocked as all hell!

What kind of sick fuck electrocutes a child? What kind of man calls himself a man and drowns a child? Beatings aren't unheard of in packs most like to make sure your wolf gets used to healing you up so the torcher is gradual. It starts small then over time intensifies.

I mean it happens in my pack as well but on a concentural basics. I just want to resurrect that sick fucker and torcher his ass the same way AND DEATH by drowning! My heart hurt hearing MY son fucking DIED!

I would have never got to meet him. I'd never got to know what a great kid he is. A great warrior. This is all just so fucked up I don't know what to think.

I wash my face with some cool water then head downstairs. Julious and Michael are arm wrestling. Michaels winning and Julious looks livid.

Lilly's getting a horsey ride on Peter's legs giggling away. Damn! I've missed my pups my Luna it sure feels great to be home. I'm glad I made here to settle my woman down. I don't like to think she was locked in that room mentally breaking and I wouldn't had been here to console her.

She's like my northern compass it always points to where she's at there's a band pulling me to her always. Her feelings. Her pain. I need her like breathing. I will always be there for her now till death do us part as the human's vow but ours is real. We will never part no one else will be good enough for my wolf or me.

"Dad! I bet you could take em. Beat Michael in an arm-wrestling match will ya?" Julious interrupts my thoughts. I ruffle his hair.

"Well, that wouldn't be fair now. I could take him and James at once." I tell him with a smirk on my face. It's not a lie either. He gives me a shocked expression.

"Can I see that?" He wonders.

"Maybe some other time. Okay?" He don't look too happy about it but I really don't want to hurt my younger wolves egos. They will one day be great accommodations to our pack.

"You guys can go ahead and take off home if you'd like I need a word with my son if you can stick around Peter and watch over Lilly for a few minutes," I say.

"Yeah, I can watch her a while." He says giving me a nod.

"Alpha me and James would like to train with Julious here and there if your down with it," Michael asks.

"Yeah, man that's totally fine I'll text you guys with times and dates. Cool? Thanks again for watching my family while I was away I appreciate it guys." I inform them.

"Oh, it was fun this little dude is tuff as a bed of nails Alpha." He chuckles. I chuckle nodding my head.

"Julious follow me we need to discuss somethings okay?" I ask him.

"Alright! Night Michael bye James see yall this week. Im gonna kick yalls tails and win lots of money on those bets we made!" He laughs at them.

"We're gonna need a jobs Alpha this kid done took me and James for a total of sixty bucks already!" He says faking sadness. I laugh at their silliness.

"Julious come" We head upstairs into his room I shut the door behind him.

"Take a seat on your bed son" He heads over and plops down.

"Its about mommy hua?" He questions.

"Well yes and no" I take a seat beside him wrap an arm around his shoulder. He looks down a bit uncomfortable.

"I didn't mean to upset her you know. Michael kept asking me questions and they really don't know a lot about me and one day I'll be their Alpha so I was telling them all I've been through so they will know I'm worthy is all. I didn't even want mommy to know honest. I never told her anything!" He rambles on an on.

"Hay, hay, hay, listen to me." I shush him quietly and look him dead in the eye.

"Julious you went through some things pups your age shouldn't. Okay?" He nods hesitantly.

"I asked to do them, dad. I watched the guys who trained me go through them so I wanted to experience them too. I wanted the same respect." He tells me sadly. This pup is just too much.

"Look I understand why you would do what you did but they shouldn't had done it till you were of age not a four or five-year-old pup Julious. You died. Is that not serious?" I ask. He gives me a frightened look that breaks my heart.

"That was the most scared I've ever been. At first, I was let up for air a couple of times and I was like I can do this it's gonna be a piece of cake then I needed air but this guy kept holding me under till I was gone." Tears come to his eyes and he quickly swipes them away.

"I'm sorry dad" He chokes.

"Why are you sorry there's absolutely nothing to be sorry for son," I tell him in all honesty.

"For crying. I don't cry its a weakness. I never seen my mommy cry before until we moved here. She didn't cry so I didn't cry. The day she cried in your office I almost cried." He tells me solemnly.

"It's okay to cry, son. It's just me here no one will ever know. I won't tell anybody." I tell him sadly. Now I'm really sad. My mate was so strong for her pups and I made her cry that day. They have such love for her as I do now. I hope one day they will love me like that too. My wolf and I already consider them all mine so we already love them. Would die for them. I'd kill thousands for them.

"I just wanted you to know Julious you can tell me anything and it stays between us. Mommy doesn't have to know. You always have me to talk too." Now a tear slips from my eye because my sons too strong but still needed someone to talk too no matter what.

"Oh yeah, what if I wanted a tattoo?" He raises an eyebrow and smirks my way. The act makes him look just like me. I chuckle to myself.

"Maybe when you're a little older." I chuckle.

"It was worth a shot. Right?" He says with a shrug of his shoulder.

"It definitely was" I nod and smile.

"Anything else you want ta mention to me now?" I inquire.

"Yeah, I just want to say thanks." He nods his head up and down repeatedly.

"For what son?" I squint my eyes at him.

"For making momma come back. Who knows I could had died the next week in the swamp competition." He keeps nodding his head. All I can do is say a thank you to the Moon Goddess for not letting me be too late to save my family from that monster. I'll say thanks to Zeek later he said it was bad but he didn't say what was bad.

"I'm glad to son and you don't have to thank me it was my fault she was ever there in the first place. I won't be making those kinds of mistakes again." I tell him.

"Good, now I need to shower and hit the bed got school tomorrow." He smiles.

"Alright, you do that." I pat him on the back and leave. I wanted to kiss his little head but wanted to keep mine more so I leave him.

As soon as I shut his door I can feel my mates downstairs. I make my way down and over to my mate sitting on the sofa watching Lilly play with Peter.

"Can't sleep, babe?" I ask while sitting beside her tucking her into my side with my left arm around her.

"No, I have to talk with you about something else. I have to get Lilly a bath and put to bed first. I just heard Julious turn the shower on so it will be a moment." She smiles and tells me.

"Peter you can run on home now I know your dad would like to fill you in on everything that's going on," I tell Peter.

"Yes, Alpha I'll call you tomorrow." He says before telling Lilly and my Luna bye. I nod not knowing why he would need to call me but my lines always open anyways.

After my woman puts Lilly down she comes and sits in my lap. I've sure missed her. Her smell. Her touch. Her voice. Her smile. Everything about my mate drives me insane.

"So I want to tell you something and I want you to stay quiet till I get done. Okay?" She asks me. Now my wolfs on the edge with anxiousness. So all I do is nod while running my hands up and down her back an leg. I can also feel she's nervous witch makes me nervous.

"Okay, so I'll get straight to the point. Peter is Lilly's mate. They're like best friends. He asked if we would not tell her till shes fifteen and then they could hang out as friends till she turns eighteen. Calm down Alpha this is not as bad as it seems."

"Really? Maybe in your perspective but in mine he should stay away from my daughter till she's eighteen or better yet reject her now so she won't feel it and I won't kill his ass!" Ted thinks we should hunt him down and kill him now! No wolf is good enough for my Lilly! Damn sure not Peter!

"Are you crazy?" She deadpans me.

"I'm absolutely sane woman." I deadpan her.

"Peters a really great guy Richard! He cares a lot about Lilly. You didn't see them the last couple of days. Look at all these pictures I took!" She hands me the phone already on her gallery. I don't even care to look but I do anyways cause my mate demanded me to do so. I'm so whipped it's pathetic!

As I go through the pitchers it's quit comical though breaking some of my will to murder Mr. idiot. One he's covered in makeup. Damn he's so ugly! I can't believe he's my daughters mate what is he like thirty years older than her. There's some of piggyback rides. Horsey rides. My daughter sleeping on his chest. Her smacking him in the face. I like that one. She looks so cute when she's mad.

I notice one thing through all the photos is his devotion and care for her. Damn Mr. Fool! How dare him I've had my daughter all but a few weeks and now he thinks he has some mate claim on her! I look at my mate. Instead of pissing her off, I got other ideas.

"Well, he's" I point at Mr. Stupid "not good enough for our Lilly so I guess I'm gonna have to make sure he's up to my standards hua?" I stare at her sternly and watch as her eyes go huge and about pop out her head.

"Richard take it easy on him. Please for Lilly." She says. I laugh to myself.

"Yeah, whatever you say, babe." I give her a sexy smirk of mine and lean in and snatch a kiss from her plump little lips.

"Richard I'm serious!" She says all dramatically.

"I've got to set him up as Julious' beta so I must get him in condition. He will have to be Josh's shadow a couple of years I bet he's gonna love that." I mean it differently from how I tell her but Mr.Ass must earn my daughter and earn her he will or suffer I don't care either way!

"Okay, let's take a shower what do you say?" She asks all shyly. Seriously I love it when she blushes! So I pick her up and off we go to have a nice long shower. I'm so glad I'm back!
