Yuliang Davos is an omega with a lot on his plate; completing his internship, working part-time, studying for his Healer Certification exam, keeping his twin in check, and suppressing his transformations.

He has no time for friends, fun, adventure, or romance. 

Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have a choice.

The chapters are short because my attention span is limited, and I can't write 1k words in one sitting. I don't think it's a big issue, though, since the story will be a really long one either way, just in bite sizes.

Yuliang was checking on the chocolate chip cookies in the oven when his co-worker Mina suddenly popped into the kitchen.


"I heard the craziest rumour about you the other day," she said, plopping herself down onto a stool and stealing a cookie from a previously finished batch. Yuliang gave her a warning look, but didn't do anything other than that to prevent the older woman from snatching another one. 


Determining that his current batch could do with baking a bit longer, Yuliang secured the oven door once more. Then he turned around to give the Estish girl a wary look and said, "I think I'd rather not know."


Mina scoffed, "Too bad because I came here to get confirmation from you. Is it true that you were dating Seth Motherfucking Rydel, but then broke up with him after you caught him cheating on you with your twin?"


Yuliang sucked in a sharp breath and subsequently choked on it, "What?


Yuliang held his hand up, "No no. Stop. I heard what you said, but where the fuck did that come from?"


"So, you didn't catch him screwing your brother? You guys are still dating?"


Yuliang's face twisted in a mixture of anger and disgust, "I wouldn't date Seth Motherfucking Rydel even if the bastard was the last fucking person on Earth, but how the fuck do people know about that?" That being, him catching Seth fucking Yukio. 


Mina was taken aback, her hand coming up to cover her mouth as she gasped, "So it's true. Oh goddess, I'm so sorry, Yuliang. I didn't know, I thought it was just a rumour. It was very insensitive of me to ask when everything's so fresh."


"Don't deny it, you're allowed to be upset. I had a boyfriend that cheated on me too and it hurts me to know that now you're hurting in the same way. If you need anyone to talk to, just know that I'm here for you."


Probably overhearing the last bit of the conversation as she walked into the kitchen, Norma turned to Yuliang with sympathetic eyes, "Your boyfriend cheated on you, dear? Oh, you poor darling, come here, let Norma give you a hug."


Yuliang felt like he was trapped between a rock and a hard place.


He really wanted to clear up this misunderstanding, but neither of them looked ready to listen.
