Disastrous for Everyone...

Instead of getting up, Aiden pulled Maya towards himself.

"YaHaa!" Maya was taken by shock as she tried to stop herself from falling on him.

Due to the force exerted by him, Aiden also fell back on his bed. 

*Thad!* 

*Slam!*

Aiden had shut his eyes tightly waiting for the impact from Maya's fall on him.

"...."

A few seconds passed but he didn't feel anything? Why? 

Aiden slowly opened his right eye.

"!!!!" 

"M-Maya? What a-are you doing?" Aiden was surprised to see himself trapped between Maya and the bed! Seeing Maya's face so close to his, a teeny tiny blush appeared on his cheeks.

Was this the famous Kabedon?! 

No! Wait this was the Reverse Kabedon!!!

Aiden could believe that he was being trapped by Maya right now.

He somehow managed to say, "Is this not supposed to be the other way round?"

"Shu-shut up!" Maya shouted as she got back up. She carefully maintained her distance from him making sure that she didn't hurt him. 

"What move were you playing just now? Are you crazy!? You could have been hurt so badly!" 

Aiden smirked, "Miss Maya, were you just worried for me?"

"I-I was not worried about you! It is me whom I'm worried about! If your condition worsens, I am the one who will have to work harder!" Maya felt flustered.

"Whatever…" Aiden took her hand again, this time he did not use force or anything, but just guided her and made her sit on the bed gently. 

"Well I guess that was more than enough for a proof… Hehe." Aiden laughed dryly before looking into Maya's eyes, and asking her, "Now answer my question. What is wrong. I wanted to ask you before as well, why were you-... Were you crying when we were in the car?" 

Maya avoided his eye contact and looked around embarrassedly, "What…? You saw that?"

"...."

"It's nothing. Stop making me embarrassed!"

Still she was responded with a blank face from Aiden.

Seeing that Aiden had no intention to forget about the question Maya reluctantly gave in, "Ugh! It was nothing. I was just thinking about how you stood in front of me without thinking anything when I was attacked today. When…"

Maya paused, "When I was with Lucas, I was the one who always stood up for him, be it in the industry we worked in, or in real life."

"So she still thinks that Lucas only depended on her for making a name in the industry?" Aiden thought.

He hesitated about telling Maya the truth that he had learned today. "Should I really tell her now?" 

As Aiden was thinking if he should inform her about it or not, Maya suddenly scoffed, "But from what I got to know today, it seems that Lucas was well off even without me! What was I doing all this time… Huh!" 

According to the call she had received from Ashely today, they had caught Lucas from running away but had to let him go because of several powerful people supporting him.

Most of those people were present in the room Alyssa was captured in as well.

After some digging into the matter, Ashely found out that Lucas was in fact running some kind of illegal business with these 'powerful people'.

She could not find much information at the moment but the things did not seem to end at that. 

Now, when Maya was thinking about their conversation with a clear head, she remembered Ashley indirectly mentioning that she was not alone. It meant that someone else was also with her?

Maya looked at Aiden… Was it Ryan? Did it mean that the call Aiden had taken sometime ago was about the same thing? 

Did he know about it already? 

Seeing Maya looking at him with some doubt in her eyes, after waiting for about half a minute, Aiden finally asked her, "Did your assistant tell you about it...?"

Maya widened her eyes, he indeed knew about it already. 

"It seems she did." Aiden got serious, his caring expression from just now was nowhere to be seen.

"I don't know if Miss Ashley told you about this, but she was with Ryan just now. I think when they were together, they could not get much info on this matter, but Ryan got his people to do some searching, and in these few hours he got some important details. So Lucas…" Aiden stopped. 

"Maya, are you sure you want to know about it? It's… It's kind of- I think it might come as a huge blow to you." 

"It's fine Aiden, I already know something about it, full knowledge is always better than half." From what Ashely told her, Lucas was not alone, he had important figures on his side, which was why they were overpowered when they went to catch him.

"Well. Lucas had some underhanded deals with alot of powerful people… He used to provide them …(murmured the rest).…" Aiden's voice went on to be very low, it was so low that Maya, who was even sitting in front of him, also couldn't hear him.

But she read his lips. 

She stood up in shock "What!?"

She wished that what she was thinking was wrong, she really did. But unfortunately,  the truth could not be changed by her petty wishes. 

If she was not wrong, Aiden just said that Lucas provided people with girls! Lucas was running an escort services business.

Did it mean that Supreme Starlight was also involved in this!? "No! That can't be!" Maya consoled herself and looked at Aiden, "Did it mean he was using my company as a disguise for it?"

To Maya, all this was seeming more and more serious. 

Did it mean that while Lucas was doing all the dirty deeds, and making use of his position in the company, she was helping him get him good shows to direct and all.... It just seemed as if she was helping him cover up his cheap image?

"Calm down Maya." Aiden knew that after knowing this Maya would be very worked up, that was why he thought of delaying it and maybe telling her about it tomorrow, but now… 

"We can talk about all of it patiently. Things are not as simple, a lot of people might be involved in it, so we need to think calmly."

He didn't blame her. After all, if an entertainment company got into a scandal, that too for something as serious as this, it would be disastrous for everyone; the people who were involved as well those who were not.
