I will come sooner so you don't miss me!

"Supreme Starlight is not exactly involved in this mess…" Aiden started but was cut in between by Maya.

"'Not exactly' You say. Well it means that somehow it is involved?"

"Ryan said that a few of your artistes willing worked with Lucas to gain more popularity. As you know one of your artiste, Alyssa is in a relationship with him, I think we should ask her more about this, she might know better."

Maya suddenly had a very bad feeling. Long back, when she had met with Alyssa for the first time, she had felt that there was something that she did not know about her and Manager Davis. Could it be that this was related to that? 

The more she thought about it, the more confused she felt in her mind. 

"Hey- hey, Maya. It's getting very late, we can talk about this later. You should get to bed now." Aiden said as he looked at the clock. 

"Hm, yes… Now I will also have to talk with manager Davis, I think he definitely knows something." Maya said as she got up to leave.

She noticed that even Aiden was getting up with her, "Where are you going? Did I not tell you that I will come by tomorrow morning?"

"And did I also not tell you that I will miss you?" Aiden said as he skillfully removed his IV without hurting himself and bleeding. 

"Well, how about I come tomorrow morning itself!! Okay? I will come sooner so you do not miss me! Don't do this Aiden. I will call the nurse again. Wait." Maya said as she hastily stopped Aiden and decided to call the doctor.

"Nah!" Aiden said as he had properly stood up from his bed now and adjusted his clothes.

These were new clothes that he was wearing. Unlike his father, who had completely forgotten about him and only came to meet Maya, his assistant, Mr. Frill had thought about him and had brought him a new pair of clothes.

He walked besides Maya and coolly grabbed her waist.

Wide eyed Maya looked at him with shock. Few hours ago, this man was leaning on her and couldn't even walk properly! What is this now!? 

"Y-you! Weren't you injured so badly?!" 

Aiden paused for a second, he had completely forgotten about his act from before. But since he had already been caught, why not just tell her the truth?

As he held Maya and took her  outside the ward, Aiden lowered his voice and said, "Maya, my dear, do you remember where I had hurt myself?"

"..." Maya looked at his face for a while and then his arm.

Suddenly she moved away and pointed at him, "Aiden You!! Were you faking your pain this whole time!?" 

Aiden frowned when he felt emptiness beside him. Once again, he took Maya, but by her shoulders this time and pulled her outside the hospital ward, "No Maya. I was hurt so badly, of course I wasn't faking it!"

Surprisingly, Maya did not point out anything regarding his actions and let him escort her out of the room, it felt natural to them.

She nodded, "Yes… The doctor had told me that you might be in a lot of pain. He couldn't be wrong."

Aiden chuckled softly, "Oh the doctor?" He decided to come clean with this as well.

"Actually I could have left very soon, but I had told him to inform everyone that it was serious and I would have to stay overnight!... I did it because of-" Aiden did not say anything but looked at Maya and pointed at her.

He wanted to tell her that he did so that he could stay with her. But unfortunately, dense Maya was a little too dense today to realize what he was saying. She simply looked at him innocently, "What? Why did you want to stay?" 

*Blink- Blink*

Aiden looked at her and suddenly broke into laughter. "Oh dear! What should I do!? I can't even tease you!" 

Maya didn't understand his words but one thing was clear… And that was that Aiden was making fun of her!!!

"You are having too much fun, huh!?" She looked at him with anger in her eyes. 

Aiden looked ather puffed up cheeks, "How are you behaving so cute today? Give back my old serious Maya!!"

As he said this he rubbed Maya's head making a mess out of it. 

"Stop it!" Maya said as she tried to shake off his hands.

The ward was left empty and their voices decreased as both of them walked away from it.

When they entered the elevator, Aiden 'jokingly' said, "Maya, you need to do something about your hair! It is so-"

He stopped when he received a death glare from her, "What? It's so what!?" Maya shouted at him, she was still not over the fact that he was openly making fun of her.

"Well… It's a bit rough and… smelly." Aiden said as he avoided her eyes and looked around. 

"Sigh…" Unexpectedly, Maya did not shout at him this time, "I haven't washed my hair since a week now. It's understandable."

Suddenly she looked at him sharply, "If I am not wrong...No! I remember it clearly, long back I had asked you about your shampoo!! Why did you not tell me!!?" 

"Uh-?" Aiden was left speechless.

As both of their banter continued, they left the elevator.
