Di Yi and Di Er

At the same time.

Outside the Xia Family Old Residence.

Two figures alighted from a rather plain and simple car that seemed completely out of place in this luxurious setting.

Even so, they stood there with dignified auras that could not be imitated by any other. They had a sharp disposition that could have only been developed through countless experiences.

These two were none other than Lu Xi and Lu Sha.

With just a single look at them, one would immediately realize that these two were not a pair to be trifled with.

Standing near the front door of the mansion, the old butler of the Xia Family silently observed the two people, both of them seemed to be an exact replica of the other.

If it were not for the slightly pale complexion of the one on the right and the sturdier built of the one on the left, there would probably be no way to tell who was who.

Butler Zuo had already come across different kinds of people while working for the Xia Family. Be it a high-ranking official, a famous celebrity, wealthy businessmen, no need to mention the guards and staff, he would surely have met them.

The moment he saw these new bodyguards of Young Master Jiannan, Butler Zuo knew that they were not ordinary individuals.

Afraid that they would not feel very welcomed in the old residence, Butler Zuo hurriedly came over to meet them. Clasping his hands in front of him, he greeted: "I'm glad that you made it here safe and sound. I am Butler Zuo. You must be Di Yi and Di Er, am I right?"

"Nice to meet you, Butler Zuo! I am Di Yi and this is my younger brother Di Er!" Di Yi, the one on the right, said as he gestured at Di Er who was slightly taller than him.

"I'm looking forward to working with you, Butler Zuo!" Di Er bowed.

The old butler was slightly surprised when he saw their countenances up close. But with his years of experience, he was able to keep a calm facade and did not show it on his face.

If Butler Zuo was not informed that these two were Young Master Jiannan's bodyguards, he would surely have thought that they were Young Master Jinhu's friends visiting over.

Nodding his head in acknowledgement, Butler Zuo offered them a smile and said, "You must have been tired from the journey here. If you may now follow me inside."

Di Yi and Di Er followed Butler Zuo to the mansion without a word.

Halfway through, Di Yi glanced up and met the emotionless gaze of Xia Jiannan who was staring down below from the window of his room.

Xia Jiannan was quietly observing everything from this vantage point. Although he was feeling extremely exhausted, he could not really fall asleep. Every time he would close his eyes, he would see the image of a blonde woman with beauty beyond belief.

It just so happened that while he was looking out of the window earlier, he saw a car approaching the mansion from afar. He then remembered that his father had told him about his grandfather sending people to serve as his bodyguards.

Xia Jiannan did not have any inkling that the beautiful blonde woman he was thinking about would turn up at this moment disguised as his bodyguard.

Though he could not hear what they were talking about from where he was, Xia Jiannan knew how to lip-read. He was able to tell that the names of his new bodyguards were Di Yi and Di Er.

But that was it. He was not that eager to know about their personal life anyway. As long as they do their job well, Xia Jiannan thought that anything else doesn't matter.

However, just as he was about to turn back, Xia Jiannan was surprised as he felt a sense of familiarity when he saw that man named Di Yi smile at him.

There's something about this man that seemed so familiar, but he could not quite put his finger on it!

However, before Xia Jiannan could have the chance to think more about it, Di Yi retracted his gaze and bowed before turning to follow the butler inside.

Xia Jiannan's eyes were solely focused on Di Yi that he did not notice the other man's expression.

Di Er's knuckles had already turned white from clenching his fists too tightly. He could feel his nails digging into the palms of his hands, but it seemed like he did not give a damn about it!

'Lord Xi would really do so much just for the sake of this guy!'

Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, Lu Sha followed after the person who seemed to be his exact replica.

The only difference between them was that the other "him" was rather pale and sickly.

It turns out that Lu Xi had actually disguised herself as him!

Or rather his twin!

Di Yi and Di Er, huh?! What a nice twin they were!
