Will watched Maya take her place back on the bed before he closed his eyes once more. He concentrated deep within himself until he reached the all too familiar room. He had begun to call it the affinity room instead of just a throne room inside his head, it seemed to sound a bit better to him.

The room hadn't changed at all since Will's first meeting with Cainus. A red carpet lay on a golden floor, leading to a set of stairs which led to a golden throne. Though the cosmetics were similar to the last time, he didn't see the flaming pillar. Instead, six large crystal pillars surrounded the throne. As he got closer, the energy within the room seemed to be collecting faintly inside the formation. For the first time while being in this room, he felt the urge to sit on the throne.
