The next day, Will and his small company packed up their bedding and set off. When they set off, Will was surprised to see that the mountain top was not rocky, but sandy. He felt like he was looking over a huge desert atop a mountain. He marveled at the world beneath them as they rose to the sky. 


When they finally set off, Will was in front and Maya with Roy stayed to the rear, conversing as they flew. Will set off in the direction that the maps within Ebonhart Castle's study told him Hawk Ridge would lay. They knew it would be a three day journey even by flight. The distance had just hit Will as he looked at the land below him. This was supposed to be a mountain, yet instead it was a continuation of land. 


"Leo was right before," Will marveled as he looked around the vast desert. "I still have a lot to learn of the world I was born into."
