Using his earth sense, Will checked the area around him for any signs of life. Seeing that most were in a village a few miles north of him, he decided to touch down at a bend in a river below. Trees parted a few meters at either side, giving plenty of space for him to hitch a tent. The river would give him ample food, and would also allow him to test Michael's thought. If he was going to train on his own, he would have to test the theory with an affinity he hadn't used yet.
Touching down on the side of the river, Will checked the grass on either side for any disturbances. He saw faint animal prints moving to and away from the river, which indicated that deer and other wildlife frequented the area for water, but he hadn't seen any human prints. It was all the same to him, at this moment, he didn't care to see anyone at all. If he did, he would have stayed in Ember.
