The shock on the Emperors face was hard to hide. He stared at the youth for a moment before quickly getting up to help his younger brother sit back down. "I told you that you didn't need to dot his Qi Ah, don't harm yourself!" he said struggling with his own personal emotions.
You could say that growing up in the imperial palace was both a gift and a curse. Sure you had whatever you could need, with grand status as well as high prospects. However, there was also the dark side, the scheming and lies. Many of the other 'brothers' he had ended up dead under his order!
It was only this younger brother that he didn't need to fear. Being born from both his father and mother, the youth was completely and totally his only pure blooded relative left outside his mother! Though he hadn't been able to protect this younger brother before he was born, he'd promised to do his best to keep him safe!
It's just a shame that regardless of who he had hired to 'cure' the boy. He'd only ever gotten the same news, that it was impossible.
Qi Ah smiled brightly as he lightly patted his brothers hand who had pressed him back into the wheelchair. "It's fine. I've always wanted to greet you properly to show my respect. However I was to weak to do it before, thanks to Weizhi, I can! So I wanted to do it." he said earnestly.
Emperor Zhihui gave an odd expression at the smaller youth before him before turning to look at the male who had 'assisted' the boy to bow. "You...are Weizhi?" he asked taken back. His expression guarded at seeing the mask covering the males face.
"Yes, My greeting's your highness" Weizhi said while doing a 'proper' bow for a 'servant'. Though his expression was taunting and not quest matching this action. Thankfully it was hidden behind the mask, or there would be more than one person panicking ah!
Ren lowered his gaze for a moment as he gave another look to his younger brother who seemed a bit worried while looking between the two. It seemed he could also feel the odd atmosphere from the greeting but he wasn't sure what was wrong?
He wasn't stupid, having found out that a stranger had placed himself beside his brother, Emperor Zhihui had also looked into it. Though, after finding out that this male had some ability to lesson the affects of the poison, he didn't bother with him. "Thank you..." He finally said before turning to go back to his seat, waving the two to follow.
Qi Ah smiled as he finally pushed his worries aside. It seemed his brother wasn't going to stress the issues ah? Weizhi also remained tactful as he wheeled Qi Ah to the desk, using the make shift 'ramp' that was prepared just for him. Settling the wheelchair just to the side of the Emperor.
The two brothers talked among one another for a while, before the conversation finally came to the point regarding the plot. "There's word that the neighboring Empire's Prince will be making a trip here at some point..so I wanted to ask your thoughts?" Though they weren't to worried about the other, it was still known that The Bai Empire was rather ruthless to those who 'opposed' them.
Thus the Emperor was now worried on what this 'visit' would entail. Qi Ah blinked a few times as he tilted his head, though in the plot he was rather 'bland' or 'lacking in emotions' during the plot scenes, it was because of the pain he was in before! So he saw no need to keep of this facade!
"It could be possible that they want to align with us in peace? Maybe wanting a marriage?" He asked, his thoughts seemed pretty normal. It was the Villain Prince that had tried to 'woo' the princess in order to gain a means to the throne of this empire.
His brother nodded, seeming to think the same. "I don't know what to do, If he does come, though I can refuse...it will lead to a very messy war. I'd rather not go to war if it can be avoided." He stated sighing deeply. Though Emperors were seen as 'greedy' and 'fierce' in face of extending their boarders. Zhihui was actually didn't care for those things. He would rather rule a peaceful and prosperous Kingdom, than to have a brittle empire that could fall because of his willful ambitions.
Qi Ah looked at the Emperor, his inner thoughts were less crude as he thought that this was a true ruler. Though this Empire wouldn't bow, they also wouldn't take un-needed risks ah! Truly, this Emperor thought of his people rather than his own glory.
"Then...How about you just marry off Ah-Hua to someone else before he arrives?" He then said. "If there's no princess, then there's no marriage?" he offered. This was in line with how it happened in the plot, the difference was this part wasn't actually described!
Zhihui looked up at Qi Ah a bit taken back. "Marry her off? To who?" he asked.
Qi Ah smiled, patting his chest. "That's simple, Marry her to Bai Lang-Daren!"
