Though he wasn't sure at first, Zhihui had slowly began to see the 'light' in Qi Ah's choice. Not only was Bai Lang completely loyal to himself, the other was really dedicated to serving the kingdom. What more, if he did marry his daughter off to the male, he was sure she'd be completely treasured as he'd always done himself.
Bai Lang was loyal, faithful, and didn't even have a single lady in his re-court yard ah! He was perfect!
Qi Ah was swiftly sent out after the other had gave his praise. The joy on the Emperors face made the Attending Eunuch secretly send out word of the 'joyful' news to come.
Weizhi was silent as he was wheeling Qi Ah towards the banquet with the help of a palace servant leading the way. Though he wasn't really sure what to think, his gaze would lower to look at the youth sitting happily in the chair unaware of the problems he'd caused.
When they two had arrived, Weizhi helped Qi Ah move from the wheelchair to the table prepared for him, sitting just under the emperors spot. Moving to take his own spot beside the youth, as he poured him some tea.
"You seem really happy ba?" He said, his tone a bit odd.
Qi Ah didn't seem to catch this as he nodded, taking the tea with a smile as he slowly sipped it. "Yes ah, I'm happy to help with brothers worries." he stated, his tone low. Despite being blood related, Qi Ah was not listed as a 'Prince' thus he couldn't openly call the other his brother!
Weizhi paused for a moment, making himself comfortable while still maintaining a 'servants' appearance. "What if the prince gets mad ah?" he said teasingly, watching the youth.
Qi Ah tilted his head as he looked up at Weizhi, his gaze puzzled. "Why would he be upset? The princess would be married before he arrived and would lawfully belong to someone else. Besides, there's no words set in stone that he'd even request for marriage ah?"
Weizhi wasn't sure why, but he felt that Qi Ah was rather reasonable with his statement. "The, what if he requests for someone else?" he offered.
Qi Ah shrugged. "The only other members of the royal family are all male ba. Who'd marry him? Me?" he asked as if it were a silly question.
Weizhi was silent as he stared at the youth, his thoughts hidden along with his expression. "We'll see.." he then stated turning his gaze away to prepare another cup of tea for the youth.
Qi Ah pouted for a moment as he mumbled to himself. "You should get rid of the mask already, I don't even know what you look like." He stated annoyed. Was it just him, or was his family's Weizhi acting weird? Being unable to see his expression was rather annoying some times.
The banquet slowly came to a start before the news of the 'decreed' engagement was announced. As Qi Ah had stated, Bai Lang accepted the decree without any complaints, thanking the Emperor before returning to his own seat.
While the banquet continued on, Qi Ah did his best to remain part of the 'background' as he had in the story. Though the actual reason for this banquet was never really given, Qi Ah left it to the plot loophole ah, how else should the princess's marriage be announced bah!
Weizhi calmly assisted Qi Ah the whole time, never once complaining as he had to help fill tea, set the table for the snacks or meals brought by other servants. By the time the two where heading home, Qi Ah had grown 'drunk' from the wine. His body resting against Weizhi, as he carried him for the sedan to his private court yard.
"Honestly...Getting drunk over such simple wine." the larger male said with a dotting tone, his mood no longer as strange as it had been at the start of the banquet.
Qi Ah who had willingly lost himself into the booze, truly was sleeping peacefully as he nuzzled the other, completely at ease as he slept. Even when Weizhi finally laid the small youth down in his bed, he didn't wake at all. Still lightly holding onto the others rob as he mumbled in his sleep.
Weizhi chuckled slightly as he shifted, reaching up as he slowly shifted the mask out of the way. His long dark hair blocking the sight of his face even though the mask had been moved out of the way, Weizhi lowered himself before slowly pressing his lips against the lush lips of Qi Ah.
"You said it, so you'll take responsibility then." his tone held an odd flair of ambiguous meaning, the orb hovering to the side while trying to figure out what the odd unknown character was doing. It was sure the mask had moved, but still couldn't see his face! How rude!
