The cold wind breeze blew by as I started realizing then that her brother probably wasn't there waiting for us but even if a small inch of hope is there that he might be waiting for her I wanted to jump towards it. I was really naive to believe though that we was there waiting. It didn't matter because Chelsea was my best friend so I immediately forgave her anyways as she sat on the cornfields gate, she smiled as I ran past her laughing.
She chased me around for a few hours before I fell, I tripped over something small. Before I knew it I looked up and we were far and deep into the cornfields by now to where we could barely see around us. I didn't wanna admit it but I was a little scared of what might happen next. I started jumping to see through the fields screaming Chelsea's name to see where she was, that's when I seen the barn in the deep fields. Jumping I spotted someone a little farther away going into the barn, thinking it was just Chelsea because who else would be out here at this time I went to the barn calling her name more and more.
Getting into the barn, it was pitch dark in there. You couldn't see a thing, it was like a black hole swallowing you deeper and deeper the more you looked into it. Then, out of the darkness came a strange voice, "Lily?"
I was terrified of this voice, why did it say my name so suddenly. Of course I was fearless at the time because I didn't know what he'll was like yet, I didn't know that what I did had consequences yet. No one knows what's its like to be hunted until you are.
Again it spoke to me before I could even say anything, "Lily Myers? Isn't it?" I don't know why but I didn't like the way it had said my name this time. As almost if it was smiling this time, grinning at me so happily that it was me.
I hesitated but I still wanted to give the voice a proper answer, my hand on my phone in my pocket. My mother was on speed dial as I answered finally, "Yea.. I'm Lily Myers, who are you?" Then suddenly, it was gone. The prescience, the voice, as if it had vanished. Had I been hallucinating this whole time? Confused I walked towards the darkness for the voice when.. BAMM!
The door behind me slammed shut, in the complete darkness I got terrified. I grabbed my phone and called my mother quickly. It took her a second to answer before she asked what was wrong, I started crying. "Mom I did something bad.." my voice quivered in the dark as I tried to open the doors. Had they been chained closed?!
I didn't know what to do, I could barely see before telling my mom I was in the cornfield across the street with Chelsea. My eyes got heavy suddenly as a sharp needle was shoved into my arm, more like an Epi-Pen that had shot into my arm. I felt so tired, so heavy, I remember falling down before my eyes even closed. I couldn't tell much from the darkness but I remember hearing someone talk again before waking up completely conscious in the hell that surrounded me.
