Three years later.

It's over now?

The sacrifice had been made and balance now live on a steady rock.

Never take a shortcut in life, take the long route because you pick up more experiences on the way.

Life is not about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself to grow and know the direction of growth, this is the source of strength and confidence in life.

Ah, the sweet mystery of life.

A woman stares back into the depths of her eyes recounting back the past events, watching the maturity and wisdom that she had learnt reflect back to her. She stared because she was now looking at her future, her own destiny, at the royal color and legacy.

The first bell had already rang signifying the start of a function. It was Christmas and the event was a slash respectable moment of the Kings and the newly appointed Royal Council, all their friends and family were going to be in attendance, it was also going to be a function where she makes her final decision.

A knock resounded snapping her back before a voice smoother tension.

"Mel, the party is starting"

Another woman walks in a baby pink ball gown, her sandy blonde hair was styled in a beautiful hairdo, she stares at the other woman who sat in her vanity staring back at her through the mirror, her amber eyes smiling back at her olive eyes.

They were no longer young teen that started and ended the war, they were rulers.

Recovery begins from the darkest moment, and each of them had seen and survived those moments.

The new mark at the left side of her neck, bigger and fresher than the faded one on her right said that much.

"Alright Ly , I'll be out in a bit"

She nodded but didn't move. Years has gone by healing still take time. Both their eyes move to a picture on the table, a memory of when they were complete and living a life different from where they are now.

"I still can't believe its been this long"

There was a quake in her voice one that Mel felt and couldn't respond to.

Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it.

A deep breath leaves her mouth breaking the silence.

"I still can't believe you are actually doing this"

Neither could she but it must be done, it was her legacy.

"We really need to go now or we will be late"

This time she nodded then stood walking towards her in her white and purple gown with a silver crown on her chocolate brown hair. The door open with the echo of creaks.

"My Queen"

So long as the memories of certain beloved friends lives in their heart, they shall say that life is good.

******

"Uncle Micage!!"

A little child yells before rushing down to the man he had called upon, the man with short golden blonde hair and sky blue eyes dressed in a ceremonial robe of white and purple with a silver crown on his head.

"Hey little Cole junior"

The child with auburn locks and blue green eyes stops in front of the man to glare at.

"My name is Carlos uncle Micage"

The man squatted down to rumple the little boy's hair who growled out in annoyance that only made him laugh out.

"I know that Little Carlos but you are still Little Cole Junior- ouch!"

He withdrew his hand to glare at his side at the woman who had also squatted beside him, a woman with light blonde hair that was almost white tied in a crafted style for the ceremony and beautiful hazel eyes, dressed in a white and purple ball gown with a crown on her head.

"Don't mind him Carlos, your uncle Micage is just being a baby"

The little child grins up at them in awe.

"Hi aunt Molly"

He whispers shyly his cheeks turning pink, it made the adults chuckle lightly.

"Hi there to you too you little turd"

She engulf him in a hug that had him laughing out in glee soon they joined him.

"Have you had any of those delicious tasty chocolate yet?'

He shooked his head,

"No but I wanted to confirm something first, is it true that aunt Melissa is leaving the castle?".

His bottom lips quiver as the words left them, he stared up with glassy blue - green eyes. It made the adults tense and also have glassy eyes.

"Yes Carlos, your aunt Melissa is leaving the castle"

Micage replied with a deep breath.

"But why.... She's queen why does he has to leave?"

His innocence was pure, his little brain couldn't comprehend what the adults knew.

This time it was Molly who replied,

"Because Carlos, your aunt Melissa want to be queen elsewhere"

"But she's already queen here"

"Yes but she has her own kingdom she has to rule"

He frowns before turning to the man.

"I don't understand uncle Micage..... Why?"

They kissed both his cheeks,.

"Don't worry about it now one day when you are big enough you will understand"

"But for now I heard we have some hazelnut chocolate fountain waiting for us ya"

With a merry laugh they headed off to the banquet hall.

****

He stares at it all with his dark blue eyes, he stood beside them instead of the shadows dressed royally in white and purple with a silver crown on his chocolate brown hair. He spoke and they listen, he suggest and they agreed no longer whispering behind his back of his false past.

This was peace and satisfaction

"I see you finally got what you always wanted"

A smile tugged on his lip at the voice.

He knew who he was long before he approach him.

"I did but it wasn't the way I always wanted"

"But moreover you still have it all"

He turns to face the dark skin man with black hair and grey eyes, the man dressed in royal blue and purple, the man who fulfilled his promise to his late friend and has finally retired from his guardian post, the man who gave up on the title for lord for his own happiness with his mate.

"Is this your way of congratulating me Davis cause you sure are not doing a heck of a good job"

The man Davis grumbles as the other man laughed heartedly.

"I see you still haven't change, Devaro"

"I did change but learnt mostly"

He nodded in approval.

"So what says you now?"

His dark hands motion around them, at the people, at the function, are them as they watched. Devaro couldn't help but crack a smile before replying.

"I say my little sister deserves a good farewell"

****

One would look at the lycan hybrid and say that he had changed not only in appearance but in wisdom and other scientific way. Over the years both Molly, Devaro and Davis has made him a better version. His form was still bulky and had additional tattoos to his body, eyes a lighter silver grey filled with more life.

From once just an ordinary experiment to the head warrior and now a king.

He stood beside his best friend and brother, someone he still share a special bond with, someone even despite the healing was still loyal to.

Another presence joined them filling their group with brotherly love and dominant testosterone. They were each letting go a female that was close to them.

"I would have said take care of my sister but I know you will do that regardless"

Micage began with a joke, smiling fondly at him, his eyes looking him over at his long dark brown hair that he had tied behind his head where a crown was also placed.

Their wear where the new royal colors, white and purple and they each had smiles on their faces.

"Of course Micage"

"So we are brothers now, huh!"

His grin were wide and contagious

"We have always been brothers isn't that right Igaro"

Devaro replied with one of his own.

"Yes Deva"

He couldn't stop the smile even if he wanted to.

They started laughing, sharing a laugh that was rare and brought the soul peace.

The future might be far or nearer but they knew they always have each other's back.

"So its really over and now, you and Lissa are going"

His voice did quiver again at the thought of letting his twin go. Ever since they found each other they hadn't let the other out of their side and now it hurt but was still necessary.

"It's never over little brother"

Devaro smile warmly trying to cheer him up as he place his arm on his shoulder.

It was never over and was still just the beginning. The beginning of a new life.

"We need a vacation"

Micage declared, catching up their attention once again.

Devaro chuckled at him patting his shoulder lightly to not move his crown, his smile held a lot of emotions before he replied.

"No we actually need to go on a quest"

Micage and Igaro stared intrigued at the word and the emotion behind his smile both knowing and more than ready to engage.

*********

They watched the brothers then at their new queen, sister and best friend. They watch her mate walk towards her to kiss her cheeks before squatting down to rumple little Carlos hair, who was bouncing up and down with a huge childish glee.

A sniffle and the smell of salt turned the woman with light blonde hair to her companion.

She sighed deeply before commenting.

"You promised her you wouldn't cry"

The other woman beside her with sandy blonde hair sniffles again before forcing her voice to sound stern.

"I know and am not crying"

Hazel eyes were rolled in mock annoyance.

"Yeah right"

"Buzz off Molly"

She laughed,

"Nah! can't do, you are stuck with me for life"

They became quiet continuing their observation of the newly crowned couple interact with one of their friends and member of the royal council, Cole and his family.

"How's Thomas?"

She whispers out as her eyes landed on little Carlos who was still a bundle of retained energy.

Lycans found it harder to conceive but werewolves had it easier mostly during their heat, it takes years before Lycans can have their heat and the fact that she was still human with King's blood was extra ordinary.

Lydia also stared at what she was looking at. Her hands subconsciously moving to her flat stomach where she had once envisioned having a child with light brown hair and pale blue eyes.

"We are good, he's actually getting me a drink"

She had a slight smile on her lip, it hadn't been easy being mated again and mostly to your dead mate's brother but they guess the moon had her reasons but it took time before Lydia could accept.

"Thats good"

Molly sounds uncertain and lost of words. She was with her during most of her challenges and now that everything was calm she didn't want to disrupt the peace. She almost lost her and her sister in law to death, she didn't want to again

"I can't believe she actually did it and is leaving"

Lydia murmurs again still finding it hard that so many years had pass.

Molly stare at her in thought.

"You know you can go with her if you want, your duties as head council lady permits you"

Lydia laughed at the reminder of her new duties well she never really lost it but still.....

"Heck! I need to add some rule to my new post but still this should be fun"

Molly knew Lydia had lost most of her childish innocent after the war, she had become optimist and fueled for dangerous adventures. One time the whole family went looking for her thinking she had finally lost it only to find her with her fresh kill of a elk, they were intrigued by the wolf she had changed to.

"Like what type of rules?"

Lydia smug coyly.

"Like making me the executive of justice"

It was like she was having a wet dream about it, she even let out a moan and roller her lips over her pink lipstick. She was different.

Molly smiled at the reference she had almost similar to Melissa, they were yin and yang when it came to disputing justice.

"You know am glad you are still a Valsher and Mel's best friend"

Both their eyes stung.

"I'm your best friend too Molly and yes am also glad, I mean what would you guys do without me"

Molly laughed, she joined. They laughed their hearts out before staring back at the couples.

"They look good together"

"Hmmm, Yes"

The silence rang through them. Melissa looked up to smile their way.

"We need a vacation"

Lydia declared rather loudly Molly was horrified.

"But... But we have duties to do"

"Yeah but still a break is past over due"

Molly's mouth opened like a fish gasping for water, word wanted to tumble out but they seized when a presence joined them.

"I heard vacation so when are we going"

Molly was even more horrified that they were serious about leaving.

"Mel we have duties to do you are going to be a new queen"

Melissa quip a brow at her new sister.

"Since when did you become the reasonable one in the lot"

"Being reasonable is over rated"

Lydia attacked with victorious glee.

"Yep-p"

Mel supposed with a long pulp of the 'p' that kept her in a corner.

Molly growled, as they stared at each other in glee. They had each gone a long way each shredded tears and blood each had scars yet they had grown stronger every day and that was okay for now and the next day and the next day till the next future.

"So about this vacation?"

Molly draws out slyly, her defense breaking in.

"Well what do you say Mel about completing an old mission of ours"

Her brown brow raised. She was more than interested.

Their lives has just began and the adventures still fresh.
