calixte heard frogs chirping in the water puddles outside of her room she stared at them leaping back and forth between one another it's been a week since finding out Skye's name and she still has been pushing her feelings down knowing they could never go any further than her daydreams, Joe sat his house trailer on the side of the bunks as calixtes room and his girlfriend/babysitter mandy sat in one of thier lawnchairs her hair was red color as well slightly lighter than her own she watched as mandy took long drags off her cigarette and bounced her leg, "want yo go to Dunkin with me?" calixte looked over to her lazily "sure, nothing better to do" days seemed to go on forever, as they began the 15 minute journey mandy looks at calixte and asks

"did Joe give tiffany a bear?"

usually calixte wouldn't lie but her heart pounded, she knew better about getting in between bosses and their relationship

" from where?" calixte added and wanted to know if tiffany was trying to cause turmoil with in her crew

" well I'm not sure I just saw the other day she had a teddy bear, and Joe has her number in his phone" her eyes cut back to calixte but calixte just looked at mandy shrugged "I have no clue,sorry I dont really pay attention unless it's paying me" mandy cracked a smile laughed at the corny joke dropping the subject as the day let on the carnival opened and a long walk from bunk house to lot was instore for calixte she began her walk as she reached the lot Joe stopped her

" will you do me a favor?"

"sure what's up boss"

"work in the grab for me I'll pay you good and forget the debt you owe me"

calixte thought for a moment and realized that this was the best possibility for her to get some scratch in her pocket "sure" she walked over sat at the picnic table carefully placed behind the trailer and lit a cigarette when a thud sat down beside her it was Skye rummaging through his bag earbuds still in his ears,

did he even see calixte sitting there why was he even over here?

TA came skipping towards her smiling

"hey, guess what" he said with a goofy smile spread across his face,

"you're working in here with me."

TA rapidly shook his head up and down and started dancing, she giggled at his silly dance and

calixte felt relief so that's one person down

so was it just 2 people then?

she then paused as she heard Skye's voice behind her she felt goosebumps raising in her skin and kept her eyes down trying her best to hide her excitement for him to be close to her,

"I'm in here too." calixtes heart stopped

as she turned to look up at him

he took a long drag and gave her a smile, her face went bright red

he leaned down just behind her ear

"I'm your grill mate"

he knew exactly what he was doing he knew.. her heart raced, all the blood ran to her cheeks as she looked down knowing this was gonna be a long 3 weeks.
