"So when do you plan to tell us that you're already pregnant with Noah's child?" That was the first thing that my dad asked me the moment I stepped inside our house.
"What? How did you know that?" I said that to my batchmates at the party last night. I didn't expect that it would reach my parents that fast.
"You really thought that we won't know?"
"Dad, I'll explain." I let out a sigh.
"Of course, you need to explain! Why didn't you tell us sooner? You didn't know how happy we are when we heard that news!" My dad said, plastering a big smile on his face.
"Wait, you aren't mad about it?" I asked confused.
"Your dad and I are not mad about your pregnancy. We are mad that we aren't the first one to know about it," my mom answered.
Now, how would I tell them that I am really not pregnant? They both seem happy about it. What should I do? I can't break their hearts!
"Ah, uhm.… I'll call Noah, mom, and dad," I said and hurriedly left the living room. I really need to call Noah.
"What do you mean your parents knew about the news already?" Noah asked hysterically. We both do not know what to do after we learned that my parents already know the lie I said to my batchmates.
"They both think that what I said to my batchmates are real! They are expecting their first grandchild. What should we do now?" I asked problematically.
"I don't know! Why don't we just tell them that you aren't really pregnant and what you said at the party was just a lie?"
"What?! I can't do that! You know that I can't do that! You didn't say how happy they were when we are talking about my 'pregnancy.' Also, I can't bear the fact that my batchmates will make fun of me because of that." I don't know if I am making a point or if I am doing it correctly but I think, the only thing we can do now is to make everything real. Make my pregnancy real.
"Fine. But how should we do it right? What should we do about your fake pregnancy? You're not thinking that we are going to do it the natural way, right?" He asked. An emotion is playing on his eyes as he looks onto my eyes.
That's when I realize what he is talking about. "What? Of course not! We are not going to do that thing!" I shouted at him. I would never! I would never do that with him. Not with him.
"Really? Why won't we do that thing?" He asked a bit confused.
"What the hell, Noah? I thought we are friends? Friends don't do that, you know." I can't help but blush while saying those words. Does he really consider that thing?
"We've done that though," he said that made me confused.
"Wait, don't tell me….."
"What?"
"You don't remember?!" He asked loudly.
"I don't remember what?"
"You know, two months ago. Party at the club. Hotel…"
That's when it hits me.
"You're the guy I slept with?!"
He slowly nodded as a response.
"Holy hell!" So that was the reason why his back looks effin' familiar to me the first time I saw him in my office. Our convenience store encounter wasn't our first encounter! But did he already know me the moment we saw each other at the convenience store? Nevertheless, it's not important now. We have a bigger problem.
"Now, do you still not consider doing the natural slash traditional method of having a baby with me?" He asked, his brows slightly raised.
"What the hell? Do you really think of us doing that thing again?" I asked but he the, he sudden;y laughs so loud.
"Why are you laughing?!" I can't help but shout. This is a serious matter. This isn't a joke.
"You should've seen your face! I was just joking, you know." Then he continued laughing so hard.
"I hate you. I'm telling you, I hate you."
"Hey, I'm sorry, okay? But why don't we try In-Vitro Fertilization?" He said that made me think. In-Vitro is slightly common nowadays. It won't be a problem for both of us. We are both financially stable. I know my secretary's salary and I can say that Noah doesn't accept cheap offers.
"That's a good idea. I think we should already consult a doctor. I need to be pregnant as soon as possible. My parents will surely notice if I am really not."
"I know a good doctor who can help us. I can talk to him anytime." He said. Finally!
In-Vitro Fertilization is the only answer to our problems now.
"Fine, but wait… How did you know about that In-Vitro stuff and why do you know a doctor that does that thing, hmmm?" I asked suspiciously.
"Hey! I haven't don't this before, okay?! it just happened that I have a friend of mine who did this thing also." He explained. His expressions were just funny that I laughed so hard after he said those things.
"Okay. We'll just talk about this some other time."
