I closed the back door and turned around, only to see Sirius smiling at me like crazy.
"What?" I asked him.
"Nothing..."he said, still smiling.
"Oh come on, now you've got to tell me."
"Alright fine!" Sirius started. "You really seem to like her."
"Who?"
"The girl, what's her name, Lykfila or whatever."
"That's Fairy Queen Lykfilia to you, human." I said playfully.
"Oak-y whoa, I didn't know she was the queen. That's really cool though. But if she's the queen, why isn't she in the forest?" Sirius replied.
I opened my mouth to speak, but closed it right away. I must've looked rather confused by the question, because that's how I felt.
"I...don't actually know. I hadn't seen her for a thousand years until ya know, I ran into them while running away from you and Stradivarius." I replied after a while.
"Mhm."
"Anyways, let's see that thing you Euthorian Knights call fighting technique." I said, my half-smile returning.
_____________
After training, we made our way back to the tavern for dinner. We both had a couple of bruises to heal, but nothing fatal...I think. I'm not sure about Sirius though. Kid's fast and all, but he needs to work on his tactics before he goes to a real battle.
But still....there's something about him that bothers me, like there's some sort of hidden power in him? I need to ask Spectre about it later, because if the kid does have a hidden power, he needs to be taught how to use it, or it'll destroy him completely from the inside.
When we arrived at the door again, because somehow we ended way further into the fields than we planned on, I stopped and turned around.
"Sirius?"
"Yeah?"
"You fight well boy, just work on the moves I showed you, I have a feeling they're gonna help your style a lot." I said, complimenting the younger male.
"Thank you Leviathan, I most certainly will practice the moves as well as I can. Backflipping through the air is not as easy as it sounds though, How did you even learn that?" He asked me.
"Spectre taught me that one." I laughed. "My father was not very happy with the amount of healing that was needed after those training sessions."
Sirius smiled. "One more thing," he said. "Stop calling me boy. I'm not much younger than yourself." He said.
I couldn't help but smile at the request.
"What part of 'I'm a vampire demon and immortal from both families' did you not get Arden?" I said playfully.
"Aaaahhhh yeah." He laughed. "I totally forgot about that."
"How can you forget that someone's a demon? I thought knights like yourself would be trained to recognize people like that." I asked, messing with him.
"You don't act like one. When I first met you in the tavern and Stradivarius pointed you out to me and said, 'That one. That's the demon I'm after.' I didn't believe him at first, but then later, when we found you and the girls again, you had your horns and fangs visible. Plus, you were a little taller than before. That's when I realized who the girl was, the fairy of the Holy Trio, so I was kind of happy for Reyna to succeed in her quest." He finished.
We stepped inside and went down to the basement to change out of our gear.
"Speaking of girls," I said. "What do you possibly see in Reyna? I mean, she's not that special, she's just human after all."
"Hey shut up Lesauvage, it's different than dating the fairy queen okay? She's absolutely perfect to me, and I'd hate to let anything happen to her, ever. It's the reason I stayed as a knight in Euthoria, and didn't go to the Godsends of Worthwood. "
"Mhm. So you're that much in love with her, you'd rather give up the only chance to really be something in life to protect her life?" I said questioning him.
"Something like that." He replied, turning away slightly embarassed.
"Sirius, that's nothing to be ashamed of! You should be proud of yourself and what you want do! Sometimes I wish my father would appreciate my own will a bit more, but that's just the way he was raised himself, so he doesn't really know any other ways, but that doesn't matter, that's why I rebel against him every day. So I'll tell you this, et qui estis vos, non materia qui suus 'non trying ut mutare, which means, be who you are, no matter who's trying to change you." I told him. I took in a deep breath, and finished. "You should tell her, I've got a feeling she's not gonna react badly."
"Really? I mean, if you say so, that has got to be a good idea." He replied.
I chuckled. "Now, don't go calling it a good idea, I don't know how good it is."
"Have you tried it?" He asked me, taking a step back, finished taking off his leather practicing gear.
"No, but there's more than one way to confess to a girl ya know? Walking straight up to them with the intent to kiss them usually works too. That's the one that worked for me at least." I told him, distantly recalling the memory.
"Mhm."he said, leaving the basement.
I put the gear away, and put my swords on a hanger before walking back up.
