All I remember is letting out a scream and falling down on my knees.
When I opened my eyes, everything was bright, and the air was a whole lot colder. After I had adjusted to the scene, I was shocked. There were several rows of icy spikes leading outwards from me in a spiral, one barely missing Leviathan.
Spectre was standing closer to me, her hand outstretched in my direction, an aura shield directing the ice straight up in the air from her.
"Holy damn. I expected something, but this, this is definitely not that." She said, fear striking her face.
What does she know? I thought, genuinely confused, before I felt my body hit the ground, blacking out.

It's spring. The Official Euthorian knight trials are starting, and everyone is excited to watch. Especially this one boy, Sirius Arden. He ran down the street, super excited and cheerful for the trials. The ten year old boy was currently looking for his friend Reyna, so they could go watch the trials together. He knocked on the door of her house, and her mother opened.
"Reyna!" She called into the house. "Sirius is here!"
"Really?!" came the reply. Sirius heard light footsteps, and Reyna came running down the stairs. The nine year old girl seemed just as excited to go watch other people kil- nearly kill each other for the sake of trials.
"Now, be careful kids, and by all means, have fun!" Reyna's mother told them, and smiled.
The kids ran out, heading for the academy grounds. When they got there, they were greeted by Reyna's father, the city's leader, and the judge of the trials.
"Glad you could make it Reyna." He said, and then took them to the audience stands, telling them about the contestants and the trials themselves.
They settled down, and soon, the first round started.
_________
After the trials, Sirius said goodbye to Reyna and headed home.
When he got there, the door was already open, which was strange. The door was never left open, even though he was expected to be home.
As he walked in, he was careful not to make too much noise, just as he'd been taught.
When he neared the stairs to the bedroom floor, he heard a voice.
"No, the boy's not here. Yes, his parents are out of the question." There was a pause, like the owner of the voice was talking to someone through telepathy, and they were listening to a reply.
".....yes my lord, I'll be back immediately." Then there was a crash, and silence.
Sirius ran up the stairs, and the scene he was met with, was brutal. There were his parents, laying on the floor, their bodies showing no sign of life.
Sirius quickly strode over to them, dropped to his knees, and checked for any sign they might be alive.
As he found no pulse, no hint of life, he stopped, and looked down at his hands. They were stained with blood. His parent's blood. As the ten year old stood there, he vowed to avenge them, no matter what.
"I'll become a knight, like dad. And then, whoever did this, is a dead person walking." He thought, and those were his final words to his parents.

It's fall. Sirius is waiting on Reyna, to go with her to collect the replies to their school applications. Usually a fourteen year old isn't allowed in the academy, but Sirius is an exceptional student.
"You ready to go?" Reyna asked.
"Ready to be told I'm a failure you mean?" he replied, and Reyna scowled.
"You got in, I'm sure. You were recommended by Stradivarius, and Aria. Aria freaking Tergeo . And if they don't count that, you're Raphael Arden's son, for the angel's sake!" She said reassuringly.
"But come on Reyna, I'm two years younger than the limit, of course they won't bend the rules just for me?"
"You'll see. Just wait and see."
They walked in silence for the rest of the way to the acdemy.
When they arrived, Sirius was greeted by Stradivarius, a teacher and a member of the Knights of Ice.
"There you are Arden, you're almost too late! Come on, you're gonna miss your appointment!" He said, leading Sirius inside.
______________
"We almost didn't accept your entrance letter, but after seeing your outstanding results in the trials, we decided to let you in. We also assigned you a mentor, because you are only fourteen. Now, you were supposed to be mentored by Tergeo, but she went missing on a mission last weekend, and we're pretty sure she's not returning. Instead, you're going to have Stradivarius Corden as your mentor for now, either until you turn sixteen, or until Aria turns up. Understood?" The headmaster spoke slowly but clearly.
Sirius nodded in agreement, and turned to leave.
"Oh and Arden?"
"Yes?"
"Please tell Reyna to come in. I need to have a word with her. We will send you a letter with further information about the academy. That will be all."
He dismissed Sirius with a wave of his hand, said something to Stradivarius, and then he left throught the back.
Sirius went outside to the front of the Academy grounds, quickly finding Reyna sitting underneath a tree, writing in her notebook.
She looked up when she heard him come.
"Hey, how'd it go?" She asked.
"I'll tell you later. Your father wanted to talk to you Reyna, I don't know about what though."
"Oh. See you later then."

I slowly blinked, trying to focus on my surroundings. Right. I'm in the tavern. The couch in the main room.
"Are you alright Sirius?" Reyna asked me. "You were cold as ice when Leviathan brought you in here, and you were shaking pretty violently too."
"Y-yeah. I'm fine."
I heard muttering, and then everyone left the room, except for Spectre, who came closer.
"Sirius I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go completely all out, but it just sort of happened."
I turned to her.
"How did you know what was gonna happen?" I asked her.
"I didn't. I expected you to be less powerful, and have a little more different power."
"Like what?"
"Icefire. Like your father."
"What do you know about my father?! Except.....no.....you can't be..."
"Sirius-"
"How many names have you gone by? How many people have you deceived?"
She sighed. "So you were seeing flashes of those memories, huh. Trophonia, Spectre, Aria. Those are the only ones, I swear."
"Why Aria?"
"I needed to keep an eye on you. I've been keeping an eye on you ever since the day I heard there was a mercenary in town to kill your parents. I didn't know the reason then, but now I do. Sirius, you're the Ice Knight, the omen that starts the second war."
