True Leader ~ Sirius

Am I really the only normal person here?

Is Reyna really a reincarnation of whoever Lucifer said she was?

If so, why didn't anyone else tell us about it?

"Sirius, are you okay? You look really pale." Reyna asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit shocked, that's all. "

She nodded, understanding immediately. She seemed so calm despite whatever it is that's going on.

Lucifer cleared his throat. "I guess the logical thing in this situation is to get to Euthoria and Thatchstone to convince them to fight against Raziel. But first, tell me your strenghts and your weaknesses. Lynchfield, shoot."

"Besides being a disappointment? I'm good with a sword I guess. I can use some fire or thunder magic. If I use too much I'll faint though, so that's not exactly useful." He explained sheepishly.

"Ah. I see. Well, a fighter is a fighter, no matter their power. Lesauvage?"

Leviathan seemed to think about it for a second, then replied. "I'm good with a sword. That's about it though, can't fly, can't do magic, can't heal."

Lucifer frowned. "You can't do magic, eh? Then tell me Leviathan, how come you wield Scintillam, the flaming sword? Because if you didn't have magic, you wouldn't be able to handle it's power."

I noticed from the corner of my eye, Lykfilia opened her mouth to speak, but Leviathan was quicker.

"I didn't notice up until now. Scintillam is my father's sword- not mine. It must have been switched out while I was on Mizeareigh."

Lucifer let out an airy laugh, almost as if he was choking on air. "You- you didn't notice? Your regular one-handed, plain steel sword, was switched out for one of the most powerful swords in history, and you didn't notice!? " he said, to which Leviathan simply replied, "I didn't feel a difference, and I haven't had to draw the sword since."

"Ah well. Didn't you die and get revived through a soul exchange?" Lucifer asked.

"Well, yes, but I doubt that had any effect."

"Thought I felt someone being ripped from the void by force. You must still be recovering, or you'd have felt a power surge, from the ascension ritual right?"

"The ritual failed though, didn't it? I died. It shouldn't work."

"If you say so, Lesauvage. Now, you, the human...knight I'm guessing by your attire and the way you speak? Euthoria was it?"

"Yes, the Knights of Ice. The name's Sirius Arden." I replied. I don't know whether it was pride or something else, but Lucifer seemed to stand down for a second.

"Is your aura always this aggressive?" he asked me. My mind went completely blank.

"What?" I asked.

"Your magic...veil let's call it. It's reaching out, devouring everything within reach that isn't human or another person's aura. Is it always like that?"

"Well-" I started.

"He's the one with the ice powers, I'm sure you've heard of him by now." Leviathan answered for me.

"Ah. So, do you have any control over your power or have you not yet been tamed, human boy?" Lucifer continued asking questions in a manner that only demons would understand.

"I haven't been given training if that's what you mean-"

"Hold up, hold up, what'd you say your last name was?"

"Arden, but how's that-"

"You're his grandchild then, aren't you? Marchosias' I mean." Lucifer asked me.

I stopped in my tracks, trying to comprehend what he just said.

"Now that you mention that, yes, he is.....uh-" Reyna started, trying to address him correctly but failing to find her way. She's so cute when she does that, It's hard to believe this is the same girl that threw a three-way dictionary at a bully when she was fourteen.

"Just Lucifer's fine. If you feel the need to call me by my last name, It's Dianthus." Lucifer told her, as calm as a lake on a winter day.

"Then yes, Lucifer, he is in fact Marchosias' great great great grandchild or so. Sirius's father, Raphael, was said to have been well on his way to surpass his legacy in terms of power and skill. He of course, had the power of magic to help him, he had the Ice-fire mix in his blood."

"I should've seen this coming." Lucifer said. "When I first came to the void, I was given a prophecy saying the child of a human with my powers would be the mark of an oncoming war, and here we are. Sirius Arden, you truly are special."

I was about to reply when the door burst open, and in stumbled a disheveled, tired-looking man. The three of us, Lucifer, Leviathan and I, all stood up and assumed defensive positions in front of Reyna and Lykfilia. Leviathan put his hand on his sword and took a few steps closer to the intruder, before visibly relaxing.

"Zachriel, what on earth are you doing here?"

Who the hell-

"No questions. You all need to leave this place immediately. Father is on his way here with Spectre, Erie Ludevicus and a couple of other demons. If they find you, you're all dead, especially you Lykfilia." He said.

Leviathan's expression hardened at the mention of Lykfilia. Taking another step towards this demon, he extended out a hand, helping him stand up.

"You might wanna explain this better Zach, I'm not quite sure they got all of that."

"You were seen leaving Mizeareigh. You were followed. They know you're here. Argo's coming here with a team of elite demons including Spectre and Erie Ludevicus. Do you really want to wait and see what she'd do to your girlfriend?"

Leviathan turned around, facing us again.

"I apologize for my brother. He's not the best at explaining, is he?"

So this was Leviathan's brother. He wasn't quite what I'd thought, but then again, they are demons.

Then suddenly, both Lucifer and Reyna tensed up.

"We need to go, now." Lucifer said.

Both Leviathan and Zachriel looked to the door, then nodded.

"This is gonna be odd, but I'm going to need you all to close your eyes. Where do you need us Zachriel?" Lucifer said.

"Anywhere but here. Right outside of Euthoria should be fine. Crystal cave is a good destination, isn't it?" He replied, sounding unsure.

"Okay, you all need to think of that cave. Sirius, since you've never been there, and I know this by the way you tensed when I said it, you're gonna need to hold onto Reyna, and whatever you do, do not let go." I nodded, taking my place beside Reyna, who immediately took hold of my arm. I did as he said, and closed my eyes. The last thing I saw was the wall blowing in, and then we were enveloped in complete darkness.

When I opened my eyes again, we were inside some sort of cave.

We were all regaining our bearings when I heard Lykfilia call out.

"Leviathan, what happened to you!?"

I turned around to see why she'd asked, and oh wow-

"I HAVE WINGS NOW?!" Leviathan shouted in surprise.

"Seems like the ritual did work after all." Lucifer said.

"Oh wow, this is cool and all, but how the hell do I make them go away?" Leviathan asked.

"Just think about them going away and they will. That's what I always do anyways." Lucifer replied.

"Hey guys, I don't feel so good-" Reyna said, and I could barely catch her before she collapsed. She was still for a few agonizing moments, before she shot to an upright position, her eyes glowing.

"When the day comes that ice rains from the sky, the true leader shall cause the rise of hope." She said, and then she collapsed again, unconscious.

Lykfilia rushed over to see if she was alright, nodding that she was.

"What does this mean?" I asked, nobody in particular.

"It means-" Lucifer began, "We're going to have to prepare for war, and we're going to be led to battle by a leader. A true leader. This person- is you, Leviathan Lesauvage."
