Chapter Four

After eating we went to unpack the things. When we were done we decided to sit in the living room and speak of our plans for the rest of the day. Taeo was the first one to speak.

"What do you guys want to do?"

"The way back home was tiring so why don't we just relax at home?" said Mark.

"Yes and later on we could go to the cinema," added Emily.

"Okay then what do you think Kim?" asked Taeo.

I Immediately answer him.

"Oh, this shall be good."

"Looks like we have our plans," said Emily enthusiast.

We spent the rest of the day just joking around. Mark showed me how to play a game named Mario Kart, it's a pretty fun game I am just not really good.

As the time passed and as we finished eating it was now around seven. Time to go to the theatre. We all went in the car and soon enough we arrived at our destination.

Mark and Emily got out of the car and they both ran like little kids to the large building in front of us.

"What a bunch of kids these two are," commented Taeo.

"Yes I think the same too," I answered and we both giggle a little at their behaviour.

We entered the cinema and took four tickets to watch "The Good Dinosaur." I never heard of that movie before but the two children didn't stop jumping around since they wanted to watch that movie.

"Next time I'll invite you to come here with only me. That way you'll be able to choose the movie," told me Taeo.

"Okay then, but I don't mind not choosing it."

"But you still will princess."

"You done calling me like that? What if someone hears you?"

"Oh relax the worst that they will think is that we are dating."

"Hey loves bird what snack do you want?" Emily asked us.

I felt my cheeks heating up but I just ignore it.

"Medium popcorn and a coke."

He then looked at me before continuing,

"What do you want Kim?"

I only answered him with a look on my face. I didn't know what to chose I never ate even one of the things written on the menu. He looked at me and nodded before continue speaking.

"Take another coke, some M&M's, and two packs of candies."

"Okay," said Emily, followed by Mark, before going to order our snacks.

"You'll see popcorn is one of the best snacks that exists."

"I hope so" I answered Taeo.

Soon the duo came back their hands full of snacks. I and Taeo helped them and took some into our hands. We then entered the theatre and sat in the middle. Soon after, the movie began. Everyone was eating snacks so I decided to do so while focusing on the movie.

The movie then came to an end. All our snacks and drink were done so we threw them in the trash and we returned to the car.

"The movie was so good!" commented Emily.

"Yeah I agree," added Taeo.

"What do you think Kim?" asked Mark.

"It was good and so sad. How could his father die like that!" I said totally forgetting all the formalities that I am used to.

They all laughed a little at my reaction.

We were now at home. Everyone was getting tired so we all went to our bedrooms. I changed my pyjamas and thought that I would really need some clothes. I was too tired to keep thinking that soon after I drift off to sleep.

I was returning to the castle. I couldn't leave her there for more time. I made the biggest error by leaving her there... As I enter the castle I saw my father, he started screaming at me for leaving. He continuedly to repeat that I was an ingrate daughter and he regretted having me. Soon after my mother arrived and did the same I was crying desperately trying to find my little sister.

As I finally arrived at her room I entered with no hesitation. There I found her, calmly laying on her bed. Her face full of blood, and a pistol in her hand. Then on her stomach was a letter wrote: "For Kim Lidstone."

I immediately picked up the letter and read the first sentence.

"To my sister, you left me alone. I couldn't stay here by myself. I wasn't happy anymore and had no reason to live on. What happened to me was your fault. You did this, hope you are happy with your new family."

I couldn't read more. This was all my fault. At this point, my tears were escaping like a waterfall. I suddenly felt my body shaking. I open up my eyes and sat straight in my bed. My sudden action caused my head to come in contact with something hard. Ouch that hurts.

"Ouch" I heard a deep voice say.

My eyes immediately fell on the man sitting in front of me.

"My apologies Taeo! I wouldn't think you would sit on my bed at night. Which is strange."

"It's okay don't worry. And I heard you scream that's why I came here. Where you have a nightmare about your sister?" He asked me with a worried voice.

"Ah yes, I was," I said with the saddest tone.

I tried to push the thoughts of my nightmare away but I couldn't help it. I could only see Julia laying dead on her bed... Soon enough tears flew down my cheeks. Taeo immediately pulled me in a hug to comfort me. It worked a little and soon it did fully affect. As I stopped crying Taeo pulled away and got up to return to his own bedroom.

"Taeo wait"

"Yes?" he said turning to me.

"I don't want to be alone... Could you spend the night here...?" I asked him feeling shy about it.

"Yes of course" he answered me immediately.

And that is how I spend the night sleeping peacefully with Taeo beside me.
