Chapter 14- Andrew

I don't need anyone

I just need everyone and then some

"Why hello Quinn, my name is Albertiuma, or Albert for sure and welcome to the Forever library."

I smiled at the man, how he knew my name was beyond me. Andrew stepped forward and embraced the man it looked kind of awkward as he was really tall, the old man just chuckled and hugged him back.

"I'm glad to see you Drew, but why so late at night? And why did you bring Quinn here?"

"Well, she has some questions and I need answers, he father sent her this," he pulled out my dagger and handed it to Albert I didn't even notice he took it, my anger spiked and I stared at his and wished it was my hand, then it happened instantly it was in my hand my grip tightened against it and it grew in length the sheath blending into it.

I gasped at what I had done, Andrew was shocked but Albert smiled softly and walked around Andrew and walked towards me.

"I'm sorry Andrew took it without permission, I can see it frustrated you but please calm down and give it to me I'll return as soon as possible.", his voice was sweet and gentle relaxing I felt the sword return to its original dagger form and I handed it to him.

He took it gently and walked away, but slowly so I could tell exactly where he was going in case I got anxious. I hadn't heard from my father in a while and this was the only link I had to him. Glaring at Andrew I walked away and let me fingers graze the spine of each book.

"Quinn hey! Can you wait please! I'm not sorry I took it but I am sorry that it hurt you!", I ignored him and continue to wander. I found a book I liked it was called Angels and walked until I found a comfortable spot with bean bags I sat down and Andrew huffed after me, sitting opposite me.

"You know, that's Fairy's special spot. We would come here a lot and wander, spending most of our time reading and exploring different worlds together." His gaze was far from mine, he was spaced but had a frown etched on his face.

"What happened?", I asked my voice slightly above a whisper

"My mother died.", his face became stoic his eyes lost his shine and in a second I saw all the anguish inside his eyes.

My throat contracted for him. "My mum's been missing for almost three years now, presumed dead a year ago. I get it."

We smiled at each other and I started reading will Andrew, played with his fingers the occasional spark coming out

I had finished the book I was reading, it was informative sort off. I now understood the origin somewhat but I still had questions, I knew the basics but I wasn't surprised I accepted everything wholly as if my life had become a badly directed fantasy horror movie.

"Andrew....Andrew wake up I have questions.", he was fast asleep so I tossed one of the book at him. He woke up with a start with his eyes blazing

"What did you do that for?!"

"I needed you to wake up. I have questions.", he nodded for me to continue. "Xena, Xavier and the rest are descendants of purebred Angels or bringers of light. Both parents are Angels right, they have super strength, speed agility and a special ability each?" I asked he nodded

"Is that all you got from two hours?", he asked I shook my head and gestures to the books behind me a whole stack.

"You're a knight, like a guardian you have somewhat similar powers to the bringers of light but you have teleportation and adaptive powers to survival but not as nearly as powerful.", he seemed to flinch as I continued to talk. "Fairy is like an oracle-empath, she can sense magical beings but at a cost he heart right?" He nodded he wasn't saying anything.

"And Nathan? What's your deduction on the white haired boy?"

I gulped this was the hardest part looking directly into his eyes I steeled my nerves. "He's a mismatch the offspring of a demon and bringer or light, it makes him volatile and unpredictable as he could fall either into the dark or light."

"So...what do you think of him now, your precious mismatch?", his voice now sarcastic.

"I don't think any differently of my friends, Fairy, you or even Nathan I'm just trying to wrap my head into the whole thought okay? I'm handling the situation pretty well if I do say so myself. But the million dollar question is where do I fit in, in this mess." My mind was a mask of any emotions me and Andrew having a stare down, I wasn't backing down and neither was him.

At that moment Albert appeared out of nowhere, his eyes were hard. He broke the concentration between us. He opened his mouth and asked a question that left me shell shocked. "You're mother her name is Ziyana and your father Erick am I right?"

I nodded meekly, he tossed me my dagger I caught it clumsily but I didn't get to react as he faced Andrew. "Get her back to dorms and let her rest bring her over the weekend so we can talk. Goodbye Quinn we'll meet again."

"Wait, What am I?", my voice cracking at the end. I didn't get an answer Andrew pulled me into his arms and I felt the cloud envelope us again and I was on my bed Andrew nowhere in sight and my mind moving a million miles per hour.
