Chapter 20- Let’s rumble

I used to not take chances with God's name

But it's been so long since I last prayed

As I looked around and took in everyone's faces, they were all ready to fight, fight alongside me. The friends I've made here are amazing and then I realized something I would die for them if need be.

"Quinn, are you okay? Are you sure you can do this we can protect you if your not up for it." Nathan asked his concern sending warm tingles up my body,

"Stop babying her mismatch, I wanna see her in action." Xavier called from behind me. "Ready to kick some-"

He was cut off my Mery and Xena shoving him to the side to attack the cronies.

"That settles it, now all we have to see is who can take down the most." Andrew yelled his blue tint taking over like an armor. His freckles were no longer there almost like he was a different person. He was larger version of the small boy I saw in the cafeteria. The purple streak looked on fire.

"Your on angel, mismatch let's see what you can do." He yelled running into the nurses shooting arrow after arrow not stopping.

Willing my dagger to come forward I charged in and let electricity consume my every being, it was the blood in my veins from the tips of my hair to my feet I was the embodiment of power, it felt great. I was back and it felt surreal.

I dodged the nurses disembodied parts courtesy of Xena's light whip. I charged straight for the source but then she disappeared and reappeared behind me. She aimed for my neck but I moved just in time for her to get the side of my cheek.

"You're nothing without your little toy. When you can fight me like a true warrior.", her mangy voice danced in my head egging me on.

"Don't listen to her Quinn, we all know jus how strong you truly are." Xena yelled wrapping her whip around another copy of the nurse and slapping that copy into the swing set.

"Don't worry about Quinny, she's stronger than she looks trust me. Let's just focus on the copies that keep on multiplying." Mery said snapping the neck of one of them and removing its head entirely.

Facing my opponent I tilted my head, willed my dagger away and mouthed 'come get me' and she did. She lunged forward and I sidestepped and yanked her by her hair removing the neat bun she had earlier on.

Shrieking she elongated her nails her red eyes, desperate for blood. I decided to have some fun with her. I began to dance around her giving her little zaps and slight attack never fully hitting her but getting some of her weak spots so they hurt without being fatal.

"Quinn anytime today, I understand you're having fun but the boys have killed about thirty each, I'm getting bored." Xena called out.

The demon nurse let out a feral scream and ran forward this would be that last time she does that I'll make sure of that. I counted the seconds before I leapt up and kicked her head transferring a deadly amount of electricity to her. She was dead instantly. I almost pitied her, almost.

Her minion friends turned to ashes before the others.

"Dang it Quinn I was having fun, I was on 34." Xavier said his puppy dog grey pointed in my direction.

Before I could give a response Nathan and Andrew were in front of me. Andrew was somewhat back to normal but he wasn't as small as he was originally he was around Nathans height now his copper hair had some blood splatters on it. Whereas Nathan looked perfectly fine not a smudge on him. His amber eyes gauging me for injuries his black veins still there giving him a haunted look.

"I'm fine trust me but are you guys okay?" I asked both of them looking into their eyes.

"Yeah we are, let's leave this place. We need to check on Fairy." Andrew said walking towards Mery who was leaning on the swing still in human form playing with her curls while Xavier and Xena played with their light weapons.

"Mery last stop, my dorm room to check on Fairy.", I said walking towards the swing set.

"Let's go. This was fun we should do it again sometime."

Before any of us could comment we were in my dorm room. It was odd seeing all six of us in my small room and Fairy on my bed while Anai braided her hair.

"Thank the heavens you guys are all right. Never scare me like that again." Fairy said trying to look angry but it was hard to take her seriously with the Rapunzel braid and flowers embedded into her hair.

"You've obviously been having fun." Andrew said eyeing Anai on my bed.

"Yeah, Anai's great but I need to say something." Fairy said, she had all our attention now looking back to Anai for support she took a deep breath and fixed a steely gaze on Andrew.

"I'm tired of you treating me like a little kid, I'm the same age as the others so act like it. I'm not normal none of us are but I can help. I'm not a fighter but what I can do is special. You have your own oracle of Delphi and you won't take advantage of that? How do you think I feel." She whispered the last part to herself and Andrew's gaze softened.

We all felt like we were intruding but there was nothing any of us could really do about it. We couldn't exactly leave. Andrew was about to say something but his phone buzzed. He picked it up and listened for a while.

"Swelius and Albert want to see us. All of us even the twins and Valerie.", he said

"Swelius and Albert together? In the library?" I repeated more to myself than anyone else.

"Yeah. I can get all of us there with transport magic.", he said.

"You do transport magic too, cool." Mery said while going through my closet. "Quinny can we go shopping later, your in dire need of it anyways."

Before I could even reply to that my room got even fuller with the twins and Valerie making it ten people in total in my room

oh boy

"Everyone fasten your seatbelt. You're in for a bumpy ride." Andrew called out from the commotion

Nathan's arm snaked around waist as a white light enveloped us.

"Me and you need some alone time." He whispered into my eyes.
