Chapter 19- What a sweet little nurse

"It's kind of a long story I guess, but no one hurts her. Please." The plea in my voice was evident I searched into their eyes, all of them.

"Fine, but we'll keep an eye on her won't we bro?" Xena asked elbowing Xavier in his ribs. To which he just grunted and dropped his guard slightly.

I tapped Nathan gently on his shoulder, to which he stepped aside but only slightly our arms were lightly touching, he needed some form of contact but it didn't bother me. Nothing he did ever really bothered ,e to be honest.

"How about we all go outside? We need to talk all of you Fairy included." Meredona said from behind me.

"With your red eyes demon?" Andrew said his sarcasm and disdain evident in his voice. I didn't like it.

"Mery, do the thing it's fine by me. Also", I said looking directly into Fairy's and Andrew's eyes more Andrew than Fairy if I was being totally honest. "Treat Meredona nicely, she's saved me more times than all of you combined." I felt the steel in my blood as electricity passed through my veins making my words all the more sharp.

"It's fine Quinny, just give me a minute." Mery said touching my leg she tapped her temple and I knew what she wanted to do.

So I obliged coming down to her level she put both hands on my temples on each side and I let electricity pass through the both of us. To the others it probably felt like seconds, but to us it felt like a whole lifetime. Memories washed through me and Meredona began to shift to another form. She grew taller her skin darker he hair become more and more like mine and one of her eyes looked like mine and the other lost some of its red sheen.

"What just happened dude. That was totally cool." Xavier said his mouth agape as he came closer and touched Mery's hair. "It feels like Quinn's too. Cool. Can you look like me too."

"How do you know what Quinn's hair feels like?" Nathan asked calmly but at the same time not.

Xavier ignored him whole heartedly, and instead began to marvel at Mery.

"It's a trick Ben, Quinn and I formed long ago. Those two couldn't go anywhere without me her most especially." Gesturing towards me with her finger. "So in order to look more human we synced ourselves together, I can chose to look like her or Ben, depending on who I want to at the moment."

"So can we go outside?" Fairy asked

We were all looking towards the door when all of a sudden hairs on my body began to rise, the others felt it to. Everyone was on their guard, Meredona looked back at Fairy and it all happened in an instant she threw a bead at her then grew into a force field kind of thing that was transparent to us. A nurse came to the door with a chart.

"You guys chill that's my nurse, she takes good care of me." Fairy said moving past us.

Andrew pulled her back and got into a fighting stance, Fairy landed on her bed a safe distance from the door.

"Shouldn't you all be in school or home. It's quite late visiting hours are over. But I can make and exception for the pretty thing in the middle, Quinn I believe come with me." Every word she spoke sent shivers down my spine and with every word her face changed from the sweet nurse to something evil.

"Meredona here's to small for what's going to happen, transport Fairy some where else and take us the an open area." Nathan said.

"Smart idea, got to say I'm liking you more. All right folks time for a change on scenery." Mery said her eyes glinting with pure evil.

Meredona snapped her fingers and we were back at the playground, the nurse was in fact present whereas Fairy wasn't.

"Where's my sister dude." Andrew said scowling at Mery who just simply rolled her eyes

"She's in Quinny's room with a locked door and window." Mery replied

"I believe this fight is unfair 5 to 1. Hey I'll throw you a bone here, you get to decide who kills you; a mismatch, two angels, a knight, another demon or hotshot over there with the dagger. You're choice sweetheart choose wisely. Although, I suggest you pick me I'll make it as painless as possible so you can go frolicking with you're friends in the underworld.

"For an angel you talk too much, and quite frankly you're unaware of my ability. So instead of closing who would get the honour of my demise, I instead will chose who's throat I'll slit first. It's a tough decision really, I could go for an easy kill or... I could have some fun!" The nurse shrieked her eyes turning red and her voice having some effect like it was coming from multiple sources.

And then she multipled, like duplicates it was disgusting to say the least there were five of her all wearing the same nurses outfit, with the same tacky red lipstick and flaying glitter nail polish.

"Now there's enough of me to go around." She said clapping her hands at the end, causing her fellow selves to laugh and high pitched annoying sounds that sounded like drilling my ears with a power saw.

Nathan's eyes were slowly turning black, Andrew materialised a bow and arrow from nowhere, Xavier and Xena both had some type of halo on top of their heads, Meredona materialised a staff from the air while I willed my dagger to become a sword.

"You really need to shut up sometimes idiot." Nathan said and to put icing on the cake Xena slapped the back of his head causing him to scowl.
