Training Begins!

It was informing him about a new task.

Amos was confused, "Why won't these words go away!"

Every direction he moved his head, the words pursued — The words were made up of Magic Dust — They were yellow and luminous, and they floated around. The words were made up of thousands of magic dust particles.

What is this! Why won't these stupid words just go away? This is very confusing and to sum it up, I can't even take it off. Wait, is this what Xui Zang meant? It wants me to do a task? Sleep, for ten hours?

I was going to sleep when this thing came out of nowhere anyway!

He took a deep breath — Maybe I'm overthinking this thing. He sat down on his bed, the words followed. "Hmmm, let's see..." he put his hand on his chin, "It's displaying the task right now. What happens if I want to see my stats again?"

He pushed his hand through the display and the words (made up of magic dust) were deforming and reforming itself as he did so. "It goes through just like that?" he asked himself, "What happens if I touch it as if it were a screen?"

He touched it but nothing happened. In the top right corner, there were different categories [Tasks, Stats, Guilds and Spells]. He was in the 'Task Category' at the moment. Curious, He then pressed "Stats" — which was below [Tasks] and a new screen appeared.

This screen (The Stats Category) displayed Amos' raw stats and data. "It's just like a screen from my world — I thought the tech in this world sucked!" Amos was excited.

Though it was not a physical screen, it was still tangible and interactive to the user.

Amos' stats were now perceptible to his eyes.

< Strength = 10 [Common]

Defense = 4 [Feeble]

Speed = 3 [Poor]

Mana = Infinite [rare] >

Amos observed, "Are these stats good in this world?"

As he looked at his stats, a new message appeared.

< USER GUIDE: Please Say "Atterunumn" to activate your personal assistant>

Amos read the message aloud, and as soon as he said "Atterumumn", Someone came out of the watch!

"Hello there Magic Training System User (MGSU)! I am your personal assistant, here to guide you through your training and user experience!"

The person who came out from Amos' watch was a transparent person, with spiky white hair, long clothing and blue skin.

"What the hell are you!" shouted Amos, with a pillow from his bed to use as a weapon.

"Hello there Magic Training System User (MGSU)! I am your personal assistant, here to guide you through your training and user experience!" repeated the assistant.

Amos calmed down, "Bruh, you repeated the same words. Who are you?"

"I am your personal assistant, here to guide you through your training and user experience."

Amos put his hands on his forehead, "Again? Are you a robot or something?"

The assistant was not a robot. In the world of Archeria, machinery was scarcely used. Thus, robots were nonexistent – Magic was the replacement for Technology in Archeria. With magic (just like money), one could do Anything.

For example, instead of phones, Archerians used 'Communication Magic' (A spell used to communicate with one another, at any place and time) to talk to friends and family. It allows the two or more persons utilizing the spell, to talk to each other.

"What is this 'robot' you speak of?"

Amos put down the pillow, "Dude, Forget it."

"Who is dude?"

"Uhhhhhhhh..."

"Master, you should complete your daily task on time, to avoid being punished."

"Whatever..."

"We shall talk tomorrow, get your rest." The assistant disappeared.

"Blah blah blah, how can I even sleep with these stupid words floating all over the damn place like mosquitoes!"

Amos fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes.

***

A few hours later, he heard a loud sound that woke him up.

Amos looked at the message as he rubbed his morning eyes. He now had ten exp.

"Stupid words."

The assistant appeared, "Bright and shine! It's training time."

Amos plopped back down and covered his body with a sheet, "Ten more minutes..."

The assistant then yanked the sheet off of Amos, "Get up! There's a big day ahead of you."

"Give me back my sheet!"

"Not until you complete your daily task!"

"I've already completed it. Now give me back my sheet."

A new task then appeared.

Amos looked at the message, "What daily routine!"

"Did I mention that I'm not only your assistant but also your training assistant!"

"You didn't, " he scoffed, "...the sheet!"

"Not until you complete your daily routine. As your training assistant, I assign tasks to you! And if you continue to speak to me this way, I'll treat you terribly."

"What tasks!"

"Fifty pushups, fifty squats, fifty punches and a fifty-minute run!"

Amos dropped his draw, "Are you out of your mind!"

"At least I have one, unlike you...yet another imbecile I have to endure from headaches from!"

Amos stood up and clenched his fists, "Why you!"

"What are you going to do about it? Put a dress on me? Beat me with a pillow?"

"Urghhhhh!"

"My strength goes beyond that of many S Ranks. Come at me, dolly boy!"

Amos ran up to his assistant (who was taller than him) and threw a punch, but his assistant teleported behind him and whacked him in his back.

"You blue bastard!"

"If you're gonna take me out you are gonna have to do better than that!"

Amos struck again and got hit through the wall and fell from the second floor!

"Weakling, " the assistant scowled.

Amos was unconscious. Xui Zang heard the commotion upstairs. He then walked outside and threw water on Amos' face, "Amos, get up. Oh and...you're paying for the wall."

The people of the Kingdom looked at Amos and laughed at him.

"That blue bastard would see! I'll become stronger than him! And I'll also surpass old man Xui!"

Amos started his training outside [where he fell]. Snow was there, sitting on a bench.

Amos then said, "Is that Snow? I smell her...."

As he looked to his left, he saw her sitting on the bench.

"Snow! You're still here." He was delighted.

She turned her head away from Amos.

"Come on, don't give me the cold shoulder! Did you sleep out here?"

She didn't say anything.

"What's wrong?" he continued his exercise, "She can't avoid me for long anyway. I'm that irresistible."

The assistant then appeared, "Ohh, please! You can't even do pushups to save your life!"

"You again!"

Amos was sweating when he had only just started — And he didn't do a single pushup. He struggled to do merely one, and Snow tried her best not to laugh at him, and his assistant taunted him. He then did two pushups, and his arms gave up on him before he could do the third.

But, he got back up and continued, despite the fact that the people of Atridorne made fun of him. With every pushup, he did the other with more experience. He exercised for the entire day and only took a few minutes to rest.

A few hours later, he had completed the fifty pushups. "Yes! Huff huff huff...I did it! Huff, take that blue face!"

His assistant then cunningly smiled and said, "Move on to the squats, then the punches and then the run, there's only three hours of the day left."

"What!"

Amos continued the exercise. His muscles were dying from pain and the fatigue made him feel like sleeping. He had no energy left. Thus, he failed to complete his assigned task.

***

"The day's over Amos. Good luck with your punishment."

"What do you mean?"

Amos then teleported to a dreadful place. As he looked down to the ground, there was nothing but skulls and bodies.

"What is the-this place!" Amos was shivering.

He could have stood straight.

He heard strange sounds that kept getting louder.

When he turned around, to his surprise, was his assistant — Except that he was now a monster and was rapidly approaching him!
