CHAPTER 5:

There were two single beds, one huge black leather chair, some coke cans, books and so many other things present in any direction one could see. Until an hour ago this room had nothing, now, it has more than it can accommodate nicely. I told her about the thinking thing. She took it very well.

"So all it takes is to imagine. I can live here my whole life."—girl.

"What about me? Can you live your whole life here with me?"—me.

"Yeah..."—girl. She said that while stretching the last 'eah' in a lazy and careless manner. She was saying that, 'yeah…as you matter so less when I can have everything I want.'

"you made a mess in here…geez"—me.

I had to watch my steps 'cause there were all kinds of stuff in that place. I swear I even saw a half-eaten pizza in there somewhere.

She was so busy bringing stuff that she didn't even bother getting completely dressed. She was still in those red under wears that I conjured the first time. After I told her about it she just kept creating things out of her imaginations. I decided to take some rest and conjured two beds. I jumped up on mine and crashed on the soft surface. I had also conjured a clock with a date system. I set the date at 0.0.0.

When I woke up, I found that mess she had created.

"Hey…if you are done playing can we please try the ladder thing?"—me.

"yeahhh.."—girl.

I pulled the ladder in the centre where it would be right under the window. I gripped the sides and put my right leg on the step. I felt sacred about something. I don't know what it was.

Before I climbed up, I conjured some clothes for me and asked her to wear her clothes too. She didn't wear the dress I had made. She made up some other stuff. A jeans, a black shirt and a jacket. I copied her style too.

"Copycat"—girl. She smiled.

I smiled back at her.

I climbed up the stairs and my heart beat got faster as I took each step on the ladder.

When I reached the glass layer I tried to see around. But I couldn't.

"We should just break it."—girl.

I nodded. I conjured a hammer. With it's sharp end pointed at it I hit the glass. The hammer recoiled back with a huge force. I all most fell off the ladder.

The air was filled with tension, and uncertainty. I looked at her and then looked at the glass again. There was not even a scratch on the damn thing. It was as clean as the blue sky. When I reached that close to the glass I realised that above us was the sky. So, the light was the sun after all.

But then how come it remained the same all this time.

How?

I conjured another tool and hit the glass harder this time.

No effect.

"How about this?"—girl.

She had conjured a huge rifle.

Her idea was equally smart and stupid. In this small room if the bullet reflects it would be bad news for us.

"Are you crazy?"—me.

"Just fire it."—girl.

"No…it's dangerous."—me.

"wait…then use this."—girl.

She handed to me a rod with a sharp head and on top of it was a diamond. She was smarter than me. The diamond would definitely break the glass. However, I shifted the ladder from just below the window as I didn't want the glass pieces to fall on me.

All right…all is set…lets do it.

Lets get the hell out of here.

I pushed the rod with full force at the window. On first contact the window glass shattered into small pieces of glass and fell down. She jumped back a little to avoid the glass pieces.

We are free…finally.

Wait…

Where the hell are we?

We climbed out of the window.

Humans are short sighted. Either that, or we are trained from the childhood to see only as far as the light hits. We associate sight with our eyes, and thus those without them are called blind. But is that right? Is that what sight really means?

Sometimes I think that the idea of sight is way more different than what we know it to be. Maybe its more about anticipation than visibility.

Some will say how you can believe in something you cannot see. I say, how can you believe what you see? Is everything that is visible to the eye true? And is everything true visible to the eye?

The sight of the land above the window was terrifying.

What the…

This cannot be true…

This can't be…

Nothing.

In the simplest words ever made, it was nothing.

It was a surface painted in white, yellowish bright white. The surface was plane and cracked. There was dust in the air and a huge sun in the sky. The heat was unbearable at first and it got worse later.

The sand was barren and broken. As far as the eye could see there was nothing visible there.

No. sorry.

There was nothing there at all.

This is just crazy.

I cannot do this.

I can't.

I can't.

"Hey…"—girl.

"Hey…"—girl.

I can't….I just…

"Hey…"—girl.

I turned around. She was lying on the ground. The heat was too much for her body. I was tensed already and now this.

I cradled her head in my arms.

"No…no…no…please stay here…please stay here."—me.

As I felt the sun slowly eating away every little fluid in my body, my eyes got blurry. I couldn't fell her head in my arms anymore. I could see her. But I was just getting farther away. And then,

BLACK.

It all went black forever.

At least it seemed like forever.

I could only see darkness everywhere.

There was no gravity, no air, and no light.

Just me. Falling in the darkness. Forever.
