I had to take the bus. It was pretty late so the seats were all most empty, except a few clerk like guys who were probably returning from work. I imagined a life like that which would not involve any non-erotic nakedness in white rooms and no memory disappearances. The bus halted in front of my stop. I got off and dragged my line of sight from the bottom to the top of the tower that said the name 'A.B.'.

'As in Adam black I guess.'

I never lost of ID that uncle guy had given me the day I woke up in his office and the coolest thing was that mine was a wish stick that could get me anywhere in this building.

Pretty much everything was automated from security to entrance so I had no problem sneaking in, if thats what I was doing.

There were some guys on each floor and off course I was wearing the disguise of the shady guy with a hood on so that no one could see my face. I walked through the corridors without stopping because if I had stopped it would not take the cameras long to get a better look inside my hood. The fact that I had a hood on was already alarming enough.

I walked past the main screen rooms with the huge monitors and spectacled geeks running their fingers like a racer on the keys. After wondering around for 15 minutes I finally found a room that said records. The only room in that entire building, where the files were not on some hard drive but in actual papers. I hit jackpot.

'lets see then...'

I went through the papers and even though they looked very important it was all useless to me. The only reason I could get in so far was because of the ID key that I saved. But there was a problem in that too. The ID was assigned to me and dispatched under my signature so if it was punched at the front door it would take the system about 5 minutes to know that it was me who entered the building. And if I have seemingly died in this world then it meant that they must have placed some sort of filter in the systems to know when ever my key card is punched. Although why I was still safe was a mystery to me.

I went through the files and found nothing there. But there was one last place where I could go and look for things.
