"Is everything in there?" Mom asked pointing to our luggage. I replied with a shrug and walked off to our small car to drop it off.
Well, after the day I went to see Susy, the counselor, she had said that I really didn't need counseling, so I was put out of the scheme. Honestly speaking, I was so relieved, my mom and I had made up after the argument we had in the car when she came to pick me up, thanks to Maoris.
With a humph, I closed the trunk of the car and went back inside to get my small bag.
Right now we are traveling all the way to my cousin, Natasha's, house for her birthday party and also just to visit, actually I wouldn't have been going there but I was begged and I had no other choice.
The journey was long and short at the same time, I actually don't know how that is possible. Anyway, I slept through most of the journey, we arrived at their house thirty minutes after six o'clock.
The house was still as I remembered it, it was big but not too big, I mean, they are only six, that is including their parents.
Paula their first child, who is 19, Jimmy who is 14, Natasha who is 8 and going to be 9 in about three days and then Leslie there last child that they had about two years ago. My Aunt Shannon and Uncle Gerald were not so wealthy. My aunt is a nurse just like my Mom and Uncle Gerald owns a small garage at the corner of town.
When we got in, we were greeted by a crying Leslie, Paula's cooking, a grumpy Natasha and two missing parents. The whole house was in chaos, my lips quirked up to form a smile.
"Were are your parents?" Mom asked while picking up Lil Les (that's what we call him) and rocking him in her arms. The two year old immediately stopped crying.
"They went out to get some 'stuff'" Paula replied giving me a brief hug. My mom just replied with a 'hmph' and went to put Lil Les in his chair.
"What's wrong Nat?" Maoris asked her and squatted down to her height. Maoris had always been the one to give her the attention she sought.
Nat is blond with her hair hanging shortly around her shoulders. The little brat always found ways to annoy me and have Maoris in her side. Even her parents didn't I've her attention as much as Maoris did.
"Um going to find Jimmy " I offered and went upstairs. I found the cute fourteen year old in his room sprawled across the floor playing FIFA on his Xbox. Jimmy and I have always gotten along, he was just like Paula but with jet black hair like his dad.
Jimmy's and Paula's eyes were the same shade if dark brown.
"Hey Jim" I called and he immediately dripped the controller and ran over to me when he heard my voice.
"Hey, hey, take it easy" I chuckled and he grinned up at me.
"I'm so glad you came, Nat has been acting so grumpy, as if she in her period" he said and scrunched up his nose and I laughed
This fourteen year old had the ability to crack me up anytime. He's my best buddy out of all of them, that's excluding Lil Les.
Jimmy was taller now and looked a lot more fit than the last time I saw him. He was so lanky than some people thought he was sick, but of course the girls that were and still are dying for him wouldn't see that. I guess he had been working out. I smiled to myself.
"I'm glad to see you too bud" I said to him and he grinned at me pulling me by the hand to sit on the bean bag at the edge of his room.
"I want to tell you something" he said and smiled sheepishly rubbing the nape of his neck.
"Shoot" I told him, smiling and resting my elbows on my knees so that I was leaning forward.
"Umm, l-I sort of" he stammered, "IhaveagirlfriendnowandIwantedtoaskyouifitwaalright?" he said in one breath and blushed. I let out a snort.
"Well" I urged him, knowing fully well that he wasn't done speaking.
Jimmy has always been a ladies man and a really smart guy too. He wasn't like those playboys though. He was comported and that made me to like him even more.
Unlike Nat, who in her past years had dated more than four times. Little slut. I haven't even dated once.
"Her name is Jenna I really like her" he continued, not making eye contact with me.
When he had told me everything, I told him that he could go for it as long as it didn't affect his grades.
The best of the evening went smoothly, when their parents got back, we all ate dinner and watched a movie, a Disney special to be precise.
The next day, I was woken up by the sound of a blow horn and lots of water on my face.
"What the hell?" I grumbled and my eyes opened to meet Nat's. Her hands akimbo as she stared down at me.
"Go cook up some food, I'm hungry " she ordered and I glared at her. " You little nuisance, get out!" I yelled at her and she scrambled away, with fear evident in her eyes. I'm definitely sure she went to tell Maoris, but enh, who cares? I don't.
Maoris had come to confront me for whatever Nat told her I did, but I waved her off and walked passed her, that girl is a piss off, I wish my mom had allowed me to stay back.
Nat is a pretty girl with a rotten attitude, at least I'll give her that, she talked rudely even to her parents. One time she almost hit Lil Les if not that I had come right in time. Nat actually took most of her father's physical features but he always denies it, I mean who wouldn't? The girl is a little demon.
There was a day she cut the brakes of my bicycle and I tumbled down the hill when I went to ride. That didn't end it though, she put chili powder in the bandages for my hand injury. It was just awful, I felt like killing the brat.
I promised myself that I'll take revenge on her birthday. After all, they do call me the Spawn of Lucifer.
