It was already half past midnight. I've been waiting for Dave's text.
I yawned...
I was tired and bored, staring at my ceiling so hard and lost in thoughts that my eyes hurt.
I blinked, tear drops came out, I then closed it for a while... suddenly from a distance I heard my phone chime. I had already drifted into sleep, so I didn't really realize it at the time.

When I woke on the Sunday morning, I picked my phone to check the time, 9:37am, I had overslept. I saw a notification for a message that had been sent at late night.
I quickly clicked it, the message had been deleted, oh no!. Classic Dave though.
I scrambled out of bed, I shifted my curtains, I grimaced the sun was quite high this morning. I took a peek at my self in the mirror, I looked flushed, had shades of dark circles beneath my eyes.
I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and freshen up, it was then I heard my Mom knocking at my room door.
"Coming Mom!" I shouted so she could hear me clearly.
"I'll be in the dinning honey!" Mom yelled back.
Few minutes later I was done, I had put on a white top and striped shorts, also packed my hair in one messy bun.
Table was set, breakfast was being served, Dad was already coming down the stairs.
"Morning Dad!"
"Hey princess..." He said and came over to emabrace me.
My Mom smiled as my Dad kissed her on her forehead.
We all sat at the table, napkins drapped on our necks and thighs, I said the grace.
"Amen!" We chorused.
We began eating.
"So how you doing honey?" My Mom asked.
"I'm doing very fine Mom"
"What about your gig, how's the rehearsal going?"
"All good, we had a new member yesterday, a boy from the soccer team, most popular guy in school, Cam's friend"
"Whoa, I never knew Jocks could sing until I meet Cam, now this guy, that's loaded." My Dad added.
"Well..." My statement was interrupted by the door bell.
It chimed again.
I offered to go check it, I got there wandering who would be here so early, definitely not my visitor. I thought. I relaxed and opened the door, my heart sank.
"Hey Dami!" Dave said smiling
"What the hell!, you're gonna give me a heart attack soon if you keep coming unannounced."
"Unannounced? I sent you a text an hour ago."
"Seriously Dave, what's the matter now?" I asked not in the mood.
"Um... I came over to give you this" he handed me the leather bag he was holding.
"Oh thanks."
"Hope you'll like it though."
"Hm we'll see about that, bye?"
"Bye!"
He winked and turned away as he got on his bike and I watched him leave.
Phew! that was over... Doesn't he realize how shy and tensed he makes me feel... anyways this bag's heavy, I wander what's inside.
I turned and closed the door, apparently my parents had overheard our discussion. Classic Mom and Dad.
"Ouu..." My Mom smiled.
"C'mon Mom there's nothing." I said with my smug look.
"He's pretty handsome." My Dad said "...is he the guy, I mean Cam's friend?"
"Oh yeah, His name is Dave."

Monday morning came early though.
I went to school early, settled into my sit and brought out a story book to read, I dug my head into it.
Someone tapped my table. I raised my head sharply.
"Are you stalking me now?" I asked in a bewildered tone.
"Um maybe." He smirked at me.
I gave him a questioning look.
"Oh, did you like the gift?"
Oh the gift, it was actually nice though, a new notepad, makers, pen, some cute color stuff, and a pink guitar with my name on it. Classic Right?.
"Yeah I did thanks so much!" I said smiling.
"Alright then, catch you later."
"Yeah..."
Lily walked into class and came over, to talk to me. She had this crafty look on her face while she was approaching me though.
She first looked from me to Dave, and then started smiling.
"What?!" I asked.
"Nothing girlfriend!," She said still smiling as she sat back on her sit.
"Duh!" I said and rolled my eyes.
She laughed.
The bell rang. It was time for first period.
